When Does Your Credit Card Actually Get Charged

Curious as to when your credit card is actually charged for your on board purchases?  Is it the day of disembarkation, day before, etc?  I like playing the cut off date game.

They process the charge sometime in the wee hours of disembarkation day.

As a rule, HAL closes all accounts around midnight -- so your credit card will be charged shortly after that.

According our bank statement the account was transacted 2 days after the end of the cruise and posted to our charge card two days after that, so it four days to reach our bank and then it depended on what the time frame was of your charge card.   We were prepared for it no matter the time it took to reach us for payment.

Usually within 48 hours of embarkation

No...nothing is CHARGED to your credit card until the cruise is over.  So, use the card to "hold" your account...and if you wish to pay it off prior to the cruise ending, you certainly may.
