PLSK Posted January 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2019 Hey fellow cruisers, has anybody been on the Silhouette, or like cruise ship for any of the NFL playoffs? I will be on the Silhouette, embarking on the 20th, which will be the day of the AFC and NFC championship games. My team, the Chiefs, will be playing. I am wondering what the ships do for showing the game, hopefully something good. Feedback would be great.
Rare 1025cruise Posted January 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2019 The game will probably be shown, somewhere. But why ruin your vacation watching the Chiefs lose to the Patriots?
Oville Posted January 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2019 That game is at a very weird time, 6:40.
PLSK Posted January 13, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted January 13, 2019 Yup spoken like a true Pats fan. Shouldn't you be worried about beating the Chargers first? P.S. I would love nothing more than a chance to beat the Pats in the AFC championship game.
ScubesDad Posted January 13, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2019 We have been onboard several times for both the championship games and the Superbowl game. it will be available. Two years ago they played it in the theatre and provided a small buffet of munchies....of course the bar was available in the theatre. Don't discount the Pats...... PLSK Posted January 13, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted January 13, 2019 Great thanks. Theatre it is. And no Scubes Dad never discount anybody, that is why they play the game.

Two years ago it was S class and it was Superbowl in theatre. year before it was M class and it was SB in the space outside Sushi on 5 and Cellar Masters .they rolled in a large tv and moved out a lot of the furniture it was mostly standing room only. I've been in the theatre once before...5 years ago??? but can't remember which ship..not sure if it was championship or SB. If you have an active roll call have everyone stop by guest relations to inquire about the game. Also if the connections gathering is before the game to give them enough time to set it up, ask the HD or other senior officer to set it up. My prediction was saints & pats at SB, with Pats taking it. I'm feeling a bit more confident after what I have seen today. Even DW is wondering what this new game strategy is. You may get your chance to see them in the championship game.....but taking the win, im not so sure. My gut tells me Brady wants another ring and then he is going to announce his retirement. JFontaine Posted January 13, 2019 #15 Share Posted January 13, 2019 You can always count on the Super Bowl being shown because Celebrity carries ESPN International, which carries the Super Bowl (you won’t won’t see commercials, you will see the field during commercials without sound). Playoff games have been hit or miss for us, and several times I recall watching them on the small TVs in the very crowded casino bar. Hope your experience is better. Oville Posted January 13, 2019 #16 Share Posted January 13, 2019 The games will also be aired in your cabin.
awhfy Posted January 13, 2019 #17 Share Posted January 13, 2019 The playoffs will be shown on board, at a minimum in the casino bar. Super Bowl in the theater. GO PATS!
dazey Posted January 13, 2019 #18 Share Posted January 13, 2019 I am told by others that on Edge the Superbowl will be shown on the top deck where they have large screens for viewing. Even if the Patriots are not in it, we will enjoy the event. It is always a fun time.
