These were in cabins prior to dry dock.  It was very nice to have in an inside cabin when you had to get up at night.  Thanks for the report, Julie.  We sail on Ruby again in May. We enjoy this class of ship since they still have a Skywalkers Lounge - great for sea days, especially in AK.

The limited seating in Princess cabins below the mini suites is one of our least favorite things.

We were on Carnival Vista last month, and we had a very large room with tons of empty space (one of the few back aft corner cabins for the same price as other OVs in that category).  Absolutely NO chairs, other than the small vanity stool.  Yet when we are in tight inside cabins, we have an extra chair and table that are just in the way.  I never understand the reasoning of cruise lines sometimes.  Oh well - we cruise on and love it anyway!

If its the light I am thinking about....... (is it square?) is part of the emergency lighting system.

We really liked the new nightlight.  It was triggered by motion.  This is the first cruise that we did not leave the bathroom light on at night.

We will not be on Ruby until April,2020, transpacific from Sydney to Vancouver.  I enjoyed your live reports, and was happy tp hear the Ruby now has the larger tv with on demand viewing.   Thanks for your posts!
