wripro Posted January 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2019 Does Windstar serve luck on day of embarkation, specifically on Star Pride, Breeze and Legend? Thanks.
wripro Posted January 21, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted January 21, 2019 That's supposed to be lunch, not luck.
ridethetide Posted January 21, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2019 Yes, lunch is served on the day of embarking in the Veranda.

Stay for a snack or spend two hours meeting everyone. Come prepared to talk as much as eat and you will likely make new lifelong friends long before the first sail-away. It's a full lunch- they were even serving prime rib the day we boarded. It's wonderful.
Alturia Posted January 22, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2019 We have been on 7 Windstar cruises on both the power and sail boats and a full lunch has always been served on embarkation day.
milepig Posted January 22, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) In the deep past it was just a sort of snack - I remember it set up by the pool on the Spirit/Star, but of late it has always been a full lunch. We've fallen into the pattern of dropping off our bags and going through formalities as soon as embarkation begins and then grabbing lunch. Among other things, it gives us first crack at Candles reservation. Then we either hang out, unpack, grab a drink, whatever. Or, if the weather is nice and the port is close to the city we may get back off and wander around a bit more. wripro Posted January 22, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Thanks for all the replies. Guess I'll have a light breakfast that morning.
Del Rio Posted January 22, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Sorry, a poor choice of words on my part. Yes it is usually a full lunch. But the casual format can fit anyone's preferences. Sometimes it seems like folks don't stop by the Veranda on embarkation because they are not considering lunch, just beverages and socializing. The setting seems to work for all, not just those seeking a full, seated lunch.
Cometman Posted January 29, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 29, 2019 We usually have a light breakfast before boarding- remember the food is included..... if you don't get enough, order more! Tim
