CruiserBruce Posted January 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2019 Some reading on the Panama Canal board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/54-panama-canal/ would be beneficial.
evandbob Posted January 25, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2019 Immunizations not necessary for cruises or land vacations to Panama. However, it's good to be current with standard vaccines and boosters, including flu, pneumonia, tetanus, Hep A&B if you are cruising or not. cb at sea Posted January 26, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2019 No...you need NO shots or vaccinations at all to cruise there. If you have health issues, your doctor might want you to do something, but NOTHING is required.
Cruisin' Along Posted January 26, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2019 We did a Panama Canal cruise in April 2018. No vaccinations required.
Heidi13 Posted January 26, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Have completed 20+ transits of the canal and never required any vaccinations. However, World Health recommendations are constantly changing, so the only definitive advice you should rely on is your family doctor or a specialised travel clinic.
