Rare steamboats Posted November 28, 2020 #876 Share Posted November 28, 2020 Gruno 2 and Gruno 4 have moved and it looks like they are either in front of the building hall or inside. You can´t exactly tell this on Marinetraffic. steamboats

The Meyer Werft webcam is not running. Nor is the NDR (regional TV) doing a live stream. Meyer Werft did not publish the date and time to avoid any crowds in times of Covid-19. Nevertheless I already saw a lot of photos on FB by local friends. steamboats

There is no fuel, water, ballast, cargo, etc loaded yet. When fully operation, it will surely rest lower in the water. How low remains to be seen. Unimedien Strangely enough, water shouldn't reach the light blue section because barnacle growth would show really bad with that light colored background. I can't see any draft lines, but it shouldn't be much higher than it is, probably somewhere in the black band. Rare steamboats Posted November 28, 2020 #891 Share Posted November 28, 2020 Mission completed within 45 min - new record. O.k. that does only count the time from the first movement til the ship was out. Not all the preparation time... steamboats

Biker19 Posted November 28, 2020 #894 Share Posted November 28, 2020 So, it seems I was about a month off on my prediction back in Sept on float out. Anyone taking bets on river conveyance? How about first sea trial?

I know that interior needs to be worked on as well as several external touches, but it doesn't normally take 4-5 months from float out to delivery right? RCI will likely try to defer delivery as much as possible but not sure they'll hold off all the way to March. The ship is likely to be finished around the end of the year - she was due to be finished more than a month ago.
