Shoes in kids club, or anything else they might need? (Carnival )

 If my kids wanted to visit the kids club for  activities, are sandals fine? Was thinking sneakers might be required.

Also, is there anything else they might need, such as for themed parties?

They are ages 4 & 6 and will be on the Carnival Miracle

I don't know about Carnival, but on Norwegian for a particular sporty outdoor event the staff asked me to bring sneakers for my kid instead of Crocs he was wearing. Other than that, sporty sandals would be fine.

 

Now some activities on Norwegian, like the ropes course, required sneakers and didn't allow open heel or toe sandals.

None of the kid's clubs take the kids to the pool, ropes courses, or other outside activities.  That's up to the parent's to do.  If the sandals are strap on, they should be fine.  They don't want shoes falling off!

While they don’t take them to the pool, they do sometimes take them to other activities on the sports court.

My kid lives in crocs on cruises.  I think maybe once during the cruise he might wear tennis shoes (usually for the ropes course or rock wall), but otherwise he goes to the water park, dinner, and kids club in crocs.

My kids have always just worn their flip flops, unless I see something in particular that looks like it might require tennis shoes - but 95% of the time - flip flops.
