Narrowshokie, there is another ice show way better than the one you saw.  It will be later in the week, and is a no reservations show.  It’s called iSkate. Well worth returning.

It’s tonight unfortunately I’ll be eating at Jamie’s tonight when it is

That’s unfortunate, it might happen one more night or afternoon.

Enjoy, Jamie’s is good.

I thought iSkate was awesome too until I watched iSkate 2.0 on Symphony. However, you will LOVE iSkate a must see!!!

Day 4 St. Martin!!

Oh how I love this island. They day started really early!! As a reminder the ship stays on eastern time for the whole trip. Your phone will change for where your at!! This morning was supposed to get up at 6:45. But during the night phone changed to st Martin time which is a hour ahead. So the alarm went off at 5:45am. I woke up and went on the balcony to see what the conditions were and thought damn it’s barely light out!! Turned on TV and was like ***** it’s not even 6 yet what’s wrong with my phone. Then it dawned on me why. I went back to bed. We did the beach break or something from the ship. It was at a hotel on Simpson’s Bay. It included a chair. 2 drinks and lunch. They ran a 2 for 1 deal on drink on regular mixed drink so it cost $7.50 for 2 drinks. If you buy a t shirt you get 2 drinks with it. So me and Captain Morgen became really friendly!!

Had to be off the ship by 8:15. Walked over to the bus. It was 25 min ride from the ship. The beach was very organized. We had 4 hours there. The water was way colder than I thought it would be. But once you got wet it was comfortable. You can rent a umbrella for $4 bucks. On the way back to ship they would let you off on front street if you wanted. Me and Vicki were the only ones to get off there out of a full bus of 50 people.

We did some shopping!! I broke down and bought a Watch. Had been looking at it back home. A Citizen Blue Angle Ecco Drive. Got a good deal compared to the usual US price. My sister bought a Tanzanite ring. I also bought a bottle of guavaberry rum. Mostly for the bottle.

Got back on the ship around 4pm. Went back to the room and took a nap. The Captain made me sleepy!! We had a 7pm reservation at Jamie’s Italian.

Jamie’s

What can I say go hungry!!! Our waitress Michelle was awesome!! She said we should try at lest 4 appetizers so we did. The meat plank was great. So was the Calamari. I had the Lamb chops. Vicki had the Beef Tenderloin both were excellent. The food and service was the best experience I’ve had a speciality restaurant on Royal.

Vicki went to The casino she ended up winning $100 playing the .25 slots. I went for a walk to walk off the 5000 calories I ate at Jamie’s. It’s been 3 hours and I’m still stuffed to the Gills

San Juan tomorrow!! Going to be a strange day. Mom would of been 79 tomorrow!!! The last time I was in San Juan it was her Birthday also. 8053c2145dc34b20705b829b55342b47.jpg8f01ff2ee3d20bea60818ef682257359.jpg794d557bbbf96754d3ff6ab6d41e91e7.jpgbc90a3e20c3f38ac2f63ec9613466475.jpg400bc7efb300f94926f1fd974fe21d91.jpga3eac5ceb65d468288794cae60c2dfa8.jpgf4e0bea5330993fca1b2e8675c9b3719.jpgac992cecf8df15f566c9fa4a708fc19a.jpg9915fd126bb2ddf74c5cee1a0f9a907e.jpg

Love Carib beer while in the Islands and was able to buy it here in PA at our beer distributor! When I drink it in the summer at home it takes me back to the Islands!

The picture of Jamies is great! That table on the left was our table about every night last year on our B2B. Just off Ovation of the Seas after cruising 12 nights around New Zealand and ate at James again most of the time!

San Juan

Had a great day in Old San Juan. We just walked off the ship with nothing planned!! We just walked around did some shopping and stopped in to the place that invented the pina colada and had one. The free shuttle was not running at the pace it use to only saw it twice all day. I only bought a shirt for a friend at senor frogs. My sister continued her Tanzanite buying spree getting a bracelet today. Diamonds International likes her. Was back on the ship by 12:30. We had pier runners today!!! Left 30 min late because of them. Nothing planned for tonight !! But it’s lobster night so I guess it’s time to see how many I can eat!! My sister went to the 3D movie in the theater said it was decent 3D15a2bd4794f47080f1e65009ebbb3250.jpg

I see the umbrellas changed to all one color.  They were multi-color when we were there in November.

They were multicolor when we were there 2 weeks  ago!

Recap of day 2

Kind of a lazy day!! Got up around 8:00 went to windjammer for breakfast got there around 9. That was a mistake!! The whole ship was there. Took 15 min of wondering around to find 2 seats. I know better to go there at that time on a sea day. The food was very good lots of choices so i had that going for me.

After breakfast i went to the shopping talk with my sister. Pretty much the same as all the past ones I’ve been to. It was not as well attended as the ones in the past guess since only St Martin is really the only shopping Mecca on this sailing. They also made you stand in line after the show to get the VIP cards. In the past you dropped the card off of your interest and the vip cards were delivered to your room. This one you waited in line i wondered around the ship while my sister waited 30 min for her turn to get her cards.

When we were there we stood in line for awhile but it was taking so long and we had other things planned, we left. turned out they delivered the VIP cards to our room the following day.

Always buy the beverage package! Just off Ovation of the Seas and if you drink on the rocks the cost is outrageous! This is 1.5 ounces for $11!
