Red To Gold Card

I have a question I am currently holding a Red Card but I will be sailing in a few weeks and on the 3rd day of the cruise I will have enough days for a gold card can I change to gold on the cruise at guest relations.

I sail this weekend and will also go from red to gold during this cruise. From what I read and understood on carnivals website that when you board you will automatically be gold.

We had this exact thing happen on our last cruise in October. You will board and receive gold cards upon your arrival.

Is there a difference to the color of the card you carry? I'm not judging but just curious.

You will be gold and receive gold perks when you board.  Congrats.

@webzila the color pertains to the level you are in Carnival's loyalty program. Blue, Red, Gold, Platinum and Diamond.

We also change from Red to Gold halfway through our cruise next week. Boarding Pass says we are Gold.

You will be gold when you board but dont expect anything different.

On a 7 day you can get a free drink after 6, thats about it.

Plus you get a pin if I recall correctly.

We'll be gold on the last day of our next cruise - so we get to be gold the whole cruise!  I'm gonna drink the heck out of that free drink after 5 on the last day!

On the cruise that my husband would have qualified for Gold on about Day 6, he kept joking about how embarrassing it was gonna be for him to still wear red.  When he was issued a Gold card upon embarkation, he just glowed!  I kept telling him that I was gonna have to get that fixed and tell them to hold if for 6 days and make him wear a red card until he actually earning a gold card.

Once you create a VIFP account, it will also all the cruises you have taken on Carnival.

You'll automatically be Gold upon arrival. This happened to me when I turned Platinum because it was during a cruise.

You can even see on your boarding pass that you will be gold.

My youngest 2 turn gold on our next cruise and our boarding passes reflect that, so they will be gold the whole time.

You will have a Gold card upon stepping foot on the ship.
