Are you able to still download funds to slots and charge your room with Medallion? Also, cash out at Casino? In other words, has anything changed at Casino with implementation of Medallion over standard cruise card?

Thank you!

Yes, you can do this.  We used our Medallions to charge slots to the room, then tapped the medallion to cash out...

Hmmmm?  I am not picturing this.  I've been inserting my card into the machines in the casino in the past.  Do they offer you a player's club card or is your play tracked via the Medallion?  And, if the latter, do you have to have your smart phone for your transactions?  Sorry about all the questions but am sailing on the first cruise with Medallions on the Royal in a few weeks .... trying to picture how this all works in the casino.  thanks

It works the same way as it does currently with a cruise card except that in this case the Medallion will identify who you are and send the relevant data about your casino spend and play to their computer.  Nothing is stored on the Medallion itself.  And instead of inserting your cruise card into a slot, there's a clearly marked place on the slot machine that you tap the Medallion to.

Got it ...thanks so much!!  Now, that makes sense.

PS -- just signed up to have my medallion sent to my home for my cruise in a couple weeks.

Medallion works like the card, you tap and play. When you are ready to leave just cash out, your funds are recorded and when you play again just tap and repeat. Good luck!

Here is a picture of a slot machine I found here on CC in another thread. You can see where the medallion goes.
