drumming cruisers Posted March 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) We go on 3 or 4 CAS cruises a year. Have never bought cruise certificates. Can they be use for CAS cruises? Usually upgrade our cabin. I have 2 CAS cruises booked and paid in full, for June and Sept. Leaving a couple weeks on a cruise. thinking of buying cruise next certificates if they can be used on cruises that are already paid for. If you have any experience with this would appreciate your replies. Thank you Edited March 20, 2019 by drumming cruisers spelling
Mike_DeA Posted March 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 20, 2019 They can certainly be used on a CAS trip, but not sure if you can apply to a previously booked/paid for cruise.
Casino Comp Chick Posted March 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 20, 2019 Inside and ocean view comps can have one applied, balconies and up can have 2 applied. This has to be the comp level, NOT the upgrade cabin type.

Sand and Seas Posted March 20, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 20, 2019 I book 4 CAS cruises a year and always use 2 CruiseNext per booking. (Balconies & up) The certificates can be used to pay for your Daily Service Charges and any other fees. When they started allowing us to use two per cruise I was able to come home from a cruise with a new certificate and apply it online to a previously booked cruise.
goldmom Posted March 21, 2019 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2019 I always used the certificates for CAS bookings. These were the normal certificates, not the Haven ones. We always upgraded to a suite and had no problem using the certificate as our full deposit. The last time I called about a month ago, the CAS agent told me I can use the certificate (s), but that if I don't have the Haven certificate that I'd have to cover the difference for the $1500 deposit. As I've never had to do this I don't even know if the deposit is refundable. Just a heads up for anyone upgrading a comp cabin to a suite.
dbrown84 Posted March 21, 2019 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2019 As everyone has said, you can definitely use cruisenext certificates for CAS bookings. I've also applied a certificate to a previously booked cruise, although I think you're not supposed to be able to do this. At least they always say you're not supposed to be able to do it (as they are doing it).
fourofakind Posted March 21, 2019 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2019 I also use cruise next certs for my CAS bookings and I have also used them for CAS cruises that were already booked. It's done online and easy to do. After you purchase a few on your next cruise they will show up under your online account. When making a payment towards a current cruise your cruise next certs will be one of the selections that you can click and apply as the payment.
