Yep!  They added donuts to the Dream. I was playing Trivia and noticed a bunch of men in white attire. Clipboards, taking photos, arranging the big cupcakes and the new donuts in the case.

If this old news sorry ....

Can you elaborate please. Where were they located on the Dream? How much did they cost? What flavors? How many were available?

Damn,,,wish I was there.  I used to work in "Law Enforcement", and consider myself an expert on donuts.  (Just off the Caribbean Princess, where there were donuts on the buffet every day.  Very, very good too,,,,and FREE!

The donuts and the big cupcakes are SOLD at the coffee cafe. Are they the best donuts I've ever  eaten?  No.  But, they are tasty.

I bought the maple/bacon & the red icing/pink filled donuts.  🍩😋.  The cost was $2-something.

For sale? RCI has free donuts everyday, why can’t Carnival?

Trust me, Royal is way out nickel and diming Carnival.  Sadly, it has become en vogue for charge opportunities, with NCL leading the way.

$2 for a donut? Man that's high. I've bought a HUGE piece of cake from the coffee shop and it was only like like $3. But maybe you meant $2 for both?

Hi Shirleybird,

😁😁. No, they were not $1.00 each AKA 2/$2   I chose not to 'donate' my $$ to the Casino this cruise. So, I bought 2 donuts instead. 🍩😋🍩😋

P.S.  Does Carnival sell anything that is $1 (ONBOARD) ?? 🤔😂🤔😂

Funny enough, I found these while looking for something else, they were taken on the Horizon recently.

Anyone know if this is going fleet wide in Java Blue?  Would like to try some of these new items on the Breeze in November 😛.

When's the last time you were on a Royal or NCL ship? Serious question. I think both still have free pens.

I was on the Bliss last year and a Royal owned ship (Azamara Quest) last year as well.  I hope this is not your point on nickel and diming tho......is it?

They all do it is my point. To say one thing is egregious or one line is worse than others is ludicrous. I've seen you post the same thing about NCL or Royal doing it worse so many times but whenever Carnival adds a pay per use amenity, you phrase it as options. Really don't think your being consistent or logical.

Well I will give you some examples of why I say what I did.  NCL in my mind (and clearly a lot of others here) is the nickel and dime king.  They have an amazing amount of opportunities to take your money beyond cruise fares.  There makeketing plan openly promotes it.  Using the Bliss as an example of this, there were 31 for pay restaurants on the ship (your comeback to this might be all cruiselines do, which is true but they EXCEL at it).  They package perks as free add on and then hit you up for changes to that, they charge for all room service, bottled water is a commodity, a 3 minute golf cart ride costs $9 and I can go on and on.  The Royal example I will use was my cruise on Oasis where a tiny bag of popcorn for the outside movie costs $3.50, a burger for lunch at JR is $10 (they disguise this as a seating charge), fresh Orange juice in Windjammer was $3, good seats for the NYE show were $50, the soft serve ice cream is only open 5 hours a day, the bars around many pools only carry top end booze and they package many items together with markups only as a package.

I did forget bout the pens tho.....

CArnival had to add for pay restaurants to compete, just like building billion dollar ships that drive these things....of course they have it as well, just no where near the leaders

No they most certainly didn’t need to add them to compete, they could have been the only mass market line still offering a mostly all-incluscive product.

My point about the extra price things was that you call them options when CCL does it but other lines are nickel and diming. Which is it? I’d pay to get a good seat at the comedy show, wish CCL would copy Royal on that, heck I’d like fresh squeezed juices while their at it!

I thought they had donuts either last May on the Magic or last March, Feb and/or Nov on the Pride as an aside. They were cake donuts  and I remember really liking the strawberry kind. Only reason they stick out is because I am not really a cake donut fan
