We booked a Sky Suite as a 'splurge' because we have missed so many holidays over the past two years. When we booked there was a half-off second guest special. Adding what we originally paid plus the MoveUp offer amount, we're paying the same thing for a Celebrity Suite as we would have for a 
Sky Suite had we paid regular fare for both of us.

 

There is now great concern that this is going to spoil me forever and I will never again want to sail in a regular cabin. 🤣

Is it better to wait until closer to your cruise to bid for lower prices or do prices just stay the same no matter the time frame? Sorry for the question, I’m a first timer. 🙂

I have been bidding for over a month, and the minimum offers have never changed, although I was able to modify or cancel my bids until just yesterday.  I sail on Thursday.

All mine were rejected😞. The SSuites are still showing available , 3 of them! Maybe a cancellation at the dock??

Likewise, my Family Verandah and Concierge Verandahs were not accepted.  I have a standard verandah booked but the few concierge perks and better location were worth a shot.  The family verandah... well, balcony forever!!  Husband still gets to sit on his balcony and enjoy the ocean smells and sounds so nothing lost!

 

Would love to connect with you - now that we've been chatting!!  Still have to get my COVID test (this evening) - husband tested negative - but planning to be there Thursday.  We're in cabin 6066.

My SS is still showing Pending and there are 3 still available. All the others I bid on expired. Maybe they are waiting until the last moment to see if they can sell those.

In the email, all were rejected. But when I go in to my bids, the Sky Suite is still pending and there are still 3 available. I have heard of some upgrades at check in, but not sure how that works. They are still available to book, so I am assuming if they don't sell today, someone would be able to upgrade.

probably, but your bid might not be the highest- Also, more might be available as people might cancel and the last minute due to a positive covid test.

I hate to sound like someone's mom, but it would be very helpful if questions and comments were not posted on this thread, per OP's specific request.  When folks are checking for details about bids and outcomes the other exchanges really clutter the thread.
