As expected, funnels retracted. Will be awesome this evening too deck watching is go back under. More photos this morning walking around Canada Place Great close up shots here of the forward “obstructed” balconies deck 7 & 8 which have the round opening Lots of views above of the obstructed view cabins... check your deck plans and count the balconies to whichever one you are booking! Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #78 Share Posted May 13, 2019 (edited) This is the view we’ll enjoy as we pull out of Canada Place this evening... Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains Whats his/her name? Anyone know? Beautiful! Brockton Point Lighthouse on the right with the Lion’s Gate Bridge peeking through Stanley Park on the left Just outside Canada Place you’ll find these info centres, tours, HOHO tickets etc. Also here are the shuttles up to the Capilani Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Looking back at Canada Place and the Pan Pacific Hotel. Great hotel, 1st class. They also valet my luggage to the cruise ship... i’m walking Around town empty handed, check out 1pm so my carry on I’ll pick later while I enjoy the morning downtown Edited May 13, 2019 by Hoopster95

Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #87 Share Posted May 13, 2019 Embarkation seemed very lengthy, big lines but not that bad at all. I arrived around 12pm... lines were very long through security and into check-in, but moved very well. I just tried signing into Voom, however it’s not loaded yet. Waiting for my room to open before exploring the ship 👍

Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #89 Share Posted May 13, 2019 (edited) I’m in an “obstructed” balcony cabin... great choice imho, especially at same price as an interior! I’m in 7606 mid-ship... sea pass card clipped on the door entrance Note toiletries Great storage. however very small safes Note, my D+ amenity is missing. also note the tea kettle... no coffee, just Lipton tea Edited May 13, 2019 by Hoopster95
Rare twangster Posted May 13, 2019 #90 Share Posted May 13, 2019 North Star on this Alaska cruise is available one of three ways. Walk up, like I did after boarding today, Reservations during certain windows and At the glaciers for the low, low price of $49.99 per person. The last one has to be booked at ShoreEx but they don't have it loaded yet. I've seen the glaciers before from helicopters and this time from planes. $50 is too rich for me, I'll let someone else have that... honor. 4
Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #91 Share Posted May 13, 2019 (edited) We’ll get a better perspective of the view from the balcony as we go Along, however here’s the initial look out at Canada Place and the life boats below Great room! I might do that..can’t resist say twangster head over to the sea plex... bumper cars! There’s barely a line By the way, waiting for my turn here and I can see outside and all around me, both sides of the ship out to Stanley Park and the mountiens, and the other side towards the city. Q class is superlative to Radiance class for “views” and “glass”, we haven’t even talked about the Solaroum and Two70 yet Edited May 13, 2019 by Hoopster95

Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #94 Share Posted May 13, 2019 (edited) Thanks for the heads up Twangster... I booked Hubbard at 9am 😁 Northstar was also open today... had to get up there in my home town no less! the only day today a reservation not needed. Line was short... I waited for one ride and was on in 15min while talking to several fellow cruisers. I saw Larry & Rose whom I met on Explorer! Love when that happens. Hoopster95 Posted May 13, 2019 Author #96 Share Posted May 13, 2019 (edited) Facebook and CC Meet & Mingle at Schooner Bar. My various “famous” (or maybe “infamous”) fellow CC’ers as well as Facebook celebs. Very well attended, prob at least 100 Of us. the M&M is strangely on Day 3 at 9am in Two70. 300 people have registered. Michelle on Facebook ordered “inaugural” Ovation in Alaska coins ...
