MoveUp to a Royal Suite Benefits Question

We placed a MoveUp bid on a royal suite from an S1 Sky suite which was accepted.  We have no promotion associated with our cruise.  Has anyone actually received the benefits that come with the royal suite after moving up on a MoveUp offer?  I've read conflicting info as to what you will/will not receive.

You will receive the additions that belong to the suite...

premium beverage package

in suite bar set up

2x bottles of spirits of choice

unlimited speciality dining

pretty well unlimited laundry

pre cruise concierge contact

a few specials on board...

What you could loose is any perks that came with your previous booking (OBC, free gratuity...). You may not loose them but check carefully...

Biggest problem of a RS is once experienced it is hard to go back...

Last time we bid on a RS (this past Feb) we called Celebrity and were told we would retain current Perks plus get any benefits the suite included (laundry, unlimited specialty dining, bar set up, etc) CC points would given based on booked category as Cruise a holic said. And totally agree with chemmo, hard to go back! We have gone back since we’re only willing to spend so much on a cruise and haven’t found the great deal we got on a RS a year ago but we keep trying to go back to a veranda and always end up upgrading to at least a SS! Enjoy the Royal Suite. If you are willing to share what was your bid?

We moved up from a sky suite to a concierge suite. Didn’t get the extra captains club points.

Could you clarify what suite you moved up to since Celebrity does not have Concierge suites

1500ea was the maximum bid which is what we bid; the minimum was $500ea.  We figured this might be our only chance to ever sail in a royal suite as they are so pricey.  We have been spoiled on the sky suites but figured since we got a great deal on a suite gty, why not try?  We are excited to infinity and beyond, for sure!  :-)  :-)  :-)

I had changed to a Celebrity Suite- but not sure if it was saved.  Like the program, gives people an opportunity to upgrade at a reasonable price.  Of course that is if something that you might be interested in is available.
