Hotels near LA Port

I am traveling to Mexico and departing from Las Angeles.

What hotels are near the NCL Port.  I believe the Port is located in Long Grove, CA?

Check out the ports of call board for ideas for San Pedro and Long Beach if you don’t want to stay near LAX.

I think you meant to say, Long  Beach. No, it is actually in San Pedro which is about 20 minutes from Long Beach. We have stayed at the Hilton once and can't remember the name of the other one but both were satisfactory. We usually stay at the Embassy suites near the airport and take a shuttle to the cruise. We are huge lovers of Embassy Suites

Crown Plaza is the other one in San Pedro. There is also a DoubleTree but it used to be something else (Hilton?).

We stay at the Doubletree San Pedro and catch the hotel shuttle to the port.

Have also stayed at the Doubletree San Pedro, and used the shuttle.  Loved their free parking.

We've stayed at the Best Western in San Pedro twice.  Free shuttle to the cruise ship, which you can see down in the harbor from the hotel.   San Pedro is a working class community with some gang and crime activity.  Actually, has been since I moved out there in the early '50s.  Nothing new.  However, the hotel was very nice for a pre cruise stay.  If driving, they have free cruise parking still I believe.
