Sun aft Suite

We are in an aft suite on the Sun late August. Have had Mini-suites (Sun and Breakaway) but never a suite.  Just booked, should I receive an email from butler/concierge in the near future? Am flying with NCL so not sure what time I will get there and what kind of seats we will have on the plane. Any info would be great!

About 50 days from sailing you should receive a letter from NCL with your luggage tags and an introduction

to features of the suite choice of pillows coffee etc. and phone number of the Concierge for any questions.

You may at the same time or by separate letter get information about those NCL flights to the port city/pier.

Your Edocs should have been updated with the 6 digit letter/number record locator of your airline flights.

You can go online log in to that airline and make a seat selection. Check on if NCL provided you with

Transfers from the airport to the pier included with your airfare package. Since you are in a suite suggested

arrival time and registration check-in at the pier is open - at the pier look for or ask to be directed to the

suite check-in lines area - afterward your butler will escort you on board to your cabin or lunch.

Since you are within 130 days of sailing you also can go to MYNCL online and look over and select

your shore excursions and dining times at specialty restaurants.

Browse the NCL for what else you can do.

Glad to hear it, in some info it says it's a "Privsea" cabin, what does that mean?

The term "Privsea" applies to the Balcony -

ordinarily when you walk out onto the balcony you can look up and out right and left without any

ship metal superstructure blocking your view - with the Privsea balcony you have what is called

a HULL Balcony with a sort of shadow box where you have to go the balcony railing to view out

up right and left.

This LINK may give you a better idea application of this:

https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=AwrDQquzCwFdJSEA8QwPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTEwNzJpNmJwBGNvbG8DYmYxBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDBHNlYwNyZWwtYm90?p=privsea+balcony+pictures&type=sbc_dsl&hspart=att&hsimp=yhs-att_001&ei=UTF-8&fr2=rs-bottom%2Cp%3As%2Cv%3Aw%2Cm%3Aat-s&fr=ymyy-t-999

For guests in the adjacent balconies they would have to lean out (way out) to view into your cabin therefore the

"Privsea" note.

In some cases the cabin has a deck (roof) like extending out over the balcony - nice for being sheltered in

bad weather but a bit inhibiting for some photo opts.

Thanks! I had hoped a aft balcony would be more open.

Here is another LINK showing the outside of the ship - browse the pix:

The aft Privsea suites are not as inhibiting as those that forward or midship.

Got it! Thanks, I know see that a part of the balcony will be enclosed but a large part is not.  Very excited to see it!

does anyone know when (and if) the villas/haven area will be offered to suites guests? The Sun does not have a Haven area.

Probably not on this ship (ever) the SUN or the SKY - these ships were built for an earlier time.

Simply there is not room for any Haven Garden Villa - the best accommodations on the SUN are the two

Owners Suites SB class on deck 11 FWD - next the two Romance Suites SE class on deck 8 FWD -

there are sixteen other Suites but not all of these are coordinated in space to have a Haven or private area.

Garden Villas are on DAWN (STAR) and JEWEL (JADE PEARL GEM) class ships.

Havens (limited area features) on the JEWEL and full service on the -AWAY class ships.

I so sorry, I had been on a thread about the GCS and was asking if the haven area (and villas) on the island would be available to Suite guests on the Sun. I do realize that the Haven area onboard will never happen on the smaller ships... my question was about the options on the island - again sorry I did not elaborate. Your answer was great and correct!

My daughter was in the penthouse aft suite 8077 and it was wonderful! Huge balcony and wonderful service from butler, Benny and concierge Carlos. They will definitely take good care of you!

Sounds wonderful! In 75 days we will be heaven it sounds like....
