Dawn: Grand Bahamas changed to Nassau, Bahamas??

all the July 2019 dawn cruises are now Nassau, Bahamas.

it used to be 1/2 those cruises were going to Grand Bahamas.

 

anyone know what happened?

Well lets see...I'm stuck between

 

a) Honestly, do you really think NCL tells people on Cruise Critic the "why" behind decisions just so we can answer the random curiosity post?

b) Honestly, the ships are going where they are going...totally out of our control...nothing we can do about it...what difference does it make?

c) It appears that you are monitoring things...as the monitor, I really think YOU should be telling us what happened.

 

Maybe it should be a poll.

Sun was scheduled for Cuba but is now being rerouted to ports in Nassau and Freeport.

I’m imagining the Bahamas is about to become a cruise ship parking lot.  I’ll let all y’all know in a few weeks.  And imagine the fun with pier runners running to the wrong ship.  Good times since I won’t be leaving the Dawn that day.

The Cuba cancellations are being rerouted to the Bahamas. Why Dawn sailing from NYC to The Bahamas and Port Canaveral would be rerouted isn't clear to me. 

 

From my perspective Nassau is a better cruise stop than Freeport as it offers more options. To really enjoy The Bahamas you want to visit the out islands which can't really be done on a cruise.

Still says nausau.

And there's no roll call for july 6th sailing so can't ask what happened. :(

(I want to be on that cruise if it's grand Bahamas)
