Concierge Class perks

We are about to take our second sailing on the Celebrity Solstice. Last time, we sailed concierge class, but only found out about some of the perks on the last day!

What are some of the benefits of Concierge Class so that we can take advantage of them on the whole trip?

😕 I'm confused as to why you didn't know about your perks in this class? There should have been a letter from the Concierge in your cabin explaining things. Our recent cruise, the Concierge called every day, sometimes twice and left messages, asking if he could help with anything and listing events and things we should be aware of. The appetizers arrived every day (not really noteworthy though, in my opinion (!). The cabin steward arranged out bottle of sparkling wine at our convenience.

As stated, the perks are mentioned on the website. Have fun. 😊

The biggest perk for us is the 5 loyalty points per day gets us faster to elite and the 3 free drinks during happy hour and the 1 free bag of laundry per person per cruise leg. As the additional perks of a free bottle of wine and daily appetizers are nice, but the loyalty points are the big draw for us.

As far as the concierge goes, we met with him a few times when we had some minor issues and he was very helpful, especially when it came to getting a free bag of laundry coupon because we were on a b2b.

Concierge gets 5 pets per night but the free drinks and laundry you mentioned are not perks of booking a CC cabin they are the benefits for being a Elite member of the Captains Club.  You could book a inside or Suite and get the laundry & drinks (which are now unlimited between 5-7) .

I thought that's what I said, but thanks for reclarifying it.

Thank you! Can you clarify the 5-7 piece?

On our last cruise as an Elite for the first time, we got up to 3 free drinks between 5-7 pm except for embarkation day at one of their many bars, except for one which the name eludes me right now. But you will get all the specifics when you get to your cabin once you make Elite.

Usually we would just a glass of wine before going to dinner. I don't know all the specifics, but you can only get the free drinks at a bar rather than once you sit down to dinner. I'm sure there are more seasoned Elites that can explain this cool perk in more detail.

There are actually very few real perks for Concierge.   You can dine in the MDR on embarkation day, assuming you get aboard fast enough.  They used to give little footstools for the balcony but recent reports have mentioned that the foot stools have disappeared.  The so-called "Concierge" is really useless for most cruisers.  The afternoon canapes have gone downhill in recent years but are free.  Bottom line for us is that we will not pay $1 per day more for Concierge then a regular balcony.  The only time we have cruised in Concierge was when it was a free upgrade.  Oh, I forgot about the free bottle of sparkling wine (you must now ask your cabin steward for that bottle) which probably costs Celebrity about $5.  You can take that wine to the MDR and enjoy it at dinner without paying a corkage fee (unless they change the policy before your cruise).

We were on Solstice in March in Concierge. The "perks" we were offered, other than what has already been said was a helipad sail away once and as the Solstice has a hot glass show, we were offered to come to a show and raffle tickets were handed out as they were giving away a few prizes.

A few fellow cruises who actually drank the wine, said it would make good "Draino".

We are 10 women in 5 CC cabins March 2020 on the Infinity. The biggest advantage for us on the M class ship is that these cabins are about 24 sq ft bigger than regular balconies. When beds are apart the added space helps. We only paid approx $10 per day than regular balcony. The added bonus also is access to priority dinner reservation times which helps with a group this size.

The helipad visit is not a written  Concierge perk, it is just a courtesy that may or may not be given.

Many of the other concierge perks are given to everyone on the ship or virtually meaningless.

I love Concierge perks and will not sail any lower category on Celebrity.  The check in line, the separate waiting area to board are great starts.  The Embarkation luncheon in the MDR is very nice.  The menu is limited  but it's so great to set down your carry-on luggage away from the table, be waited upon and enjoy a glass of wine with your first meal on board.   We do enjoy the bottle of bubbly on our balcony.  The Concierge on past ships has been very helpful.  Also, the designated lounge on Disembarkation day is wonderful.  They provide coffee, tea, juice and pastries as well as a comfortable place to wait for your group number to be called.

Everyone has his/her own preferences as far as cabin class on Celebrity.   Choose the class that best meets your needs and enjoy accordingly!
