MrsHFQ Posted July 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2019 Have never had a manicure but thought I might try one on our cruise. Have read about Fire and Ice manicure and Shellac. Pros and cons? Which should I go for?

Keksie Posted July 7, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2019 I like the SNS or dip manicure. I find it does not chip or break.
erby2283 Posted July 8, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2019 SNS is fabulous! I am not one for getting my nails done often - only for special occassions or trips. I start growing my nails out about 6 weeks before my trip. When i get the SNS, they last a good 2/3 weeks (usually closer to 3) without any chips on them. What I love is that I don’t have to worry about the breaking.
awhfy Posted July 8, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2019 I don’t believe the ships are doing the dip manicure yet (they’re fabulous). Getting a manicure on board is relaxing, but twice the cost of getting it done at home. If you have a lot of OBC then go for it. Of the Fire/Ice & shellac I’d definitely do the shellac
