So confused about Dining on Edge

Recommended Posts

we cruise all the time and have not been on Celebrity for 10 years, we just booked spring break on the edge and it looks like I need to make all my diner reservation online Like we do on NCL is this right? and do they ever run the drink package or dinning package on sale?

are there fees for the drone racing and archery ? we are excited to be back on Celebrity our 2 youngest are now older teenagers and will be ok not having slides and rock climbing walls

but it looks like things have change a lot since we cruise Celebrity last

thanks for any input you may have

We just got off the Edge. I’m assuming you have select dining? We did so I booked a few specialty restaurants ahead of time, dinner on the edge ( it’s offered 2 nights during the cruise as an outside sail away experience $95 pp but you can only book once on the ship). I did not reserve the other nights ahead of time, you don’t have to. We were only a twosome so we never waited. We tried each of the four “main” dining rooms. You might want to book them now and then you could always change them on the boat. On our cruise last week the shows were at 7:30 and 9:30 so we went to the early show and then ate by 8:30 or so.

We were on the Edge in January and I don’t recall a charge for archery, didn’t check out drone racing.

There are occasional sales on beverage packages or dining packages but they are offered on “selected sailings”  so no guarantee that a sail would include your cruise.

There are several threads that give dining info for EDGE...try using the CC search feature .

Otherwise, maybe Vt Cruiser will come on this thread and post a link.or two...

There is also good info  and photos, menu samples on the Celebrity website

Neither drone racing nor archery have an asterisk next to them on the daily planners so should be complimentary. 🙂

Agree with above that if you have Select Dining, you can make your reservations ahead of time (and can modify onboard, if needed) or you can make reservations or just walk in onboard. You may or may not have to wait a bit. If you want to do Specialty Restaurants, you might want to book ahead of time to get the dates/times that you want, but you can book onboard as well (sometimes they sell out or have only very early or very late times available onboard).

This may answer some questions:
