they used to set up big Weber grills out on the pool deck and would serve lunch, I remember  this on the gem and pretty sure on the breakaway maybe 2-3 years ago do they still do this??because I think it was usually the best meal of the day specialty restaurants included..

They do it on Gem, but not Breakaway as far as I know - never seen it on BA and I have cruised it a fair bit.

Only remember it on Jewel class ships. Definitely wasn't done on Breakaway earlier this year.

Pre *Away ship days, ribs & pork chops, corn, and vege burgers then. Didn't see them on the Dawn this year when we sailed Canada/NE 🙄 ... gone like the midnight buffets.

No pool deck BBQ on the JEWEL in May in Alaska.  I had hoped we'd get to experience it.

It is done on the older ships, not the "away" class and other large ships.

They did it in 2001 on the old Norwegian Sea a small ship I was on that did NY to Canada. Back then they even had a hotdog cart on the pool deck. The cookout was great just a bit hard to get a med rare burger off the grill they had orders well done only.

Haven't seen it on newer ships.  Last we had was Gem late 2016 but haven't been on that size since.

They did it on the Gem for our cruise last year. Fingers crossed Gem still does this because you're correct - some of the best food of the entire cruise! We are back on board the Gem in October 🍽️

Following the poolside BBQ on the Gem, if you missed it, O'Sheehan's would run a BBQ Special one evening ... Of course, some of the same items can be found in the buffet (Garden Cafe)

GEM this past March had it . All past Gems n Jewels had it . But BA didn't and really does not have room for it at the end area
