rattanchair Posted July 25, 2019 Author #101 Share Posted July 25, 2019 May I borrow a great quote from one my favorites Oscar Wilde; ' I always bring the CC Boards with me when I travel; I think one should have something sensational to read while on a cruise.' What makes this trip so sensational is trying to be helpful to all the viewers and posters on the CC boards. Your responses have kept me from napping. I use to sleep all afternoon. Now I am up running around the ship taking photos for you all to enjoy. Thank you.

Many unhappy on YC pool deck with lack of shade, covering themselves with towels today, very crowded due to unlimited lobster being grilled for lunch. No lobster lunch in YC restaurant, the only lobster was in the ravioli sauce. If you want lobster you have to suffer the sun. Parasol will definitely be packed. It was invaluable on our Caribbean sailing last year. Thank you for all of your pictures, ship looks fabulous and so pleased to hear you're having a super trip. Also, I've made a mental note that lobster is now on Thurs in the pool deck. Last year it was served for dinner...I got 3 of them 😜 My DD and I can put some lobster away! Sad that your cruise is coming to an end, but excited that I'm getting on tomorrow after you disembark...reading your review and pics have been a family evening tradition every night this week! rattanchair Posted July 26, 2019 Author #106 Share Posted July 26, 2019 (edited) Today is bittersweet. It is our last day aboard the beautiful MSC Seaside. In our daily walk-about we discovered this table on deck 8 atrium, with all the specialty restaurant menus displayed. I will try to recreate them here for you. Now why the purser could not direct us to this table a few days ago when we asked her where were the menus posted is beyond my comprehension. The sweet part is that tonight is the Michael Jackson show and the best part of all is the tipping of cash to all those of exceptional service, which is nearly everyone we came in contact with. Threw a towel up to provide more shade. here are more shots of menus.

I take it that this isn't the case? Dear Bea, Every evening YC restaurant features a signature entree of a different Michelin 'star' chef. Here are more specialty menus. rattanchair Posted July 26, 2019 Author #109 Share Posted July 26, 2019 Our final day aboard the MSC Seaside with some final observations. The YC restaurant is one of the highlights of cruising the Seaside. As our butler Vishnu promised on day one, "just let me escort you" and escort he did, every night we had the same table for two next to the window to watch the setting sun. There was a table of 8 along side nearby and the staff was able to accommodate us all, with some of the shortest wait times we experienced this summer. The wait was worst in the NCL Haven, up to 2 hours. The Celebrity Luminae was standard for cruise lines that prepare everything to order, an then there is YC restaurant, no puddle in my Venchi ice cream every night. The table for 8 was served just as quickly as we were for 2. The food is subjective and all I can say is we enjoyed all 3 cruise lines suite food. Presentation for all 3 was great.
Rare Beamafar Posted July 26, 2019 #110 Share Posted July 26, 2019 Much appreciated, RC! 👍 I see there's been an increase in most of Teppanyaki menu prices from previously posted menus. Great to have the more up-to-date ones!

May I ask which side of the YC restaurant were you seated? We are usually on starboard but may try port this time to have Andrei as our server. Who was your server? Have really enjoyed your posts of your journey. Safe travels and we will see our wonderful friends of the YC crew/staff in just one week.

Dear B2, Thank you for taking time to respond to my posts in such a generous manner. After lunch in YC got off the ship to walk around Nassau, made it to the first street turned around and came back to the cool, breezy confines of our balcony, watching the boats sail up and down the port intracoastal waterway as I type. We had a nice suite on Breakaway (not Haven 😂!) and have been Concierge on Equinox, but we find nothing has topped our recent one-week trips on MSC in Yacht Club. Looking forward to a two-week B2B in March. We did like the food in YC on Seaside best of all because they have their own kitchen. I was allowed a walk-through one early morning with the chef when he was in the lounge getting coffee. It's not a full kitchen, but they tray and do most entrees from there, and do the basic prep for the grill on deck 19. Enjoy the rest of your cruise. Dear J, I have not been given a tour of very many kitchens or galleys in my life time. But I do recall being thrown out of the most elegant Palm Beach Club kitchen in April of 1993. I was never a member, but I was being escorted through not one but 2 of the most humongous, back to back, stainless steel ,wall to wall, ceiling to floor, top of the line, spare no expense, outfitted kitchens in the world; when the chef unexpectedly showed up and threw a 'fit' having strangers 'traipse' through ' HIS 'kitchen. The escort later caught hell but I was privileged to see something not very many, even members, are privy too. I must say I have a greater respect for chefs today than I did before that episode. That tantrum could only come from a true culinary artist. ( Luckily for both of us there was no cutlery in sight).

Rare little britain Posted July 27, 2019 #125 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Have you got a pic of the room service breakfast menu please? I assume delivery is complimentary? Thanks.
