I have this cruise sickness....

I’m ill.  I just can’t stop looking for my next cruise.

I’m a month away from my last cruise and looking to book one at the end of this month.  Pricing is looking good on the Breakaway....maybe even Haven.

Might book a balcony and bid to the Haven.

Anyone do a recent bid for Haven (Spa) Suite and get a good deal?

Anyone been on the Breakaway recently and provide some insight as to how the ship is doing.  Last time I sailed her was 5 years ago.

THX!

LOL, hear hear ... end of August and ya going to rock-n-roll into the prime hurricane Gulf zone, bravo !  Why not, double CruiseNext promo on top of everything else, generous OBC from your TA & Amex booking - and, you aren't flying into LGA (whew).

Keep us posted once you locked onto the BA - it's very much like the Escape, marginally smaller - for a solo, the "standard" balcony is fine ... just move the other chair inside for a little extra space, if you don't get to upgrade.

Thanks, Henry!  You and I think alike!   Flights are pretty cheap.  I’ve sailed rough waters and winds before.  I’m not scared!  😱

My addiction is Alaska.  And the prices on the Jewel this season are crazy.  And with cruise next double up, even on an inside, it is like cruising for free.  Doing weeks 7 and 8 this season this month on a B2B.

If it is anything like the weather we had last September on our Getaway cruise, it will be awesome.  The weather that trip was amazing and the seas smooth as could be.  The only t-storm I saw was the one below, on our last sea day, passing by Cuba!

Hope you get another Haven cabin!!

I'd say the BA is in great shape.  Loved the staff and the decor, was lovely.  Always find the ships to be kept very clean.  The entertainment was great, the 876Konnect band played in the Atrium a few nights too.

I spent quite a bit of time in O'Sheehans, having met some really nice fellow pax. Sachin, the bartender in O'S's, was awesome, as usual, and kept the crowd entertained and drinks flowing smoothly.  Sachin and I had met on my first solo cruise on the Sun in 2013 and he recognized me immediately, what a treat.

I'm sure you'll have another great cruise if you choose to sail on the BA again.

Cheers

BTW... I know I'm a repeater... if you haven't been to the Miami terminal lately, you'll be in for a nice treat.  I think my cruise, BA June 30-july7 might have been the first cruise where the Platinum boarding area had it's area updated with nicer furniture and a nice snack bar was set up.  There was a variety of drinks, OJ, coffee, tea, water etc plus pastries, fresh fruits... etc.

There weren't many people in there when we were called to board so i wonder if some didn't find the area or we were just the early birds 😉

Last time I was on the Breakaway, Julie Valeriote was the CD.   To this day, she was the best cruise director I've had on any ship.  She was engaged with everyone.  She seemed to be at every show on board.  She was always helpful and very accessible.

I understand she's been "kicked up the corporate ladder".  Does anyone know who the CD is on the Breakaway these days?

How about the head bartender and Concierge in the Breakaway Haven?

OK....spent this afternoon looking at cruises.  For $2K per person, I can get the Haven in the Caribbean.  ½ that amount for  a mini-suite.  I AM SO TEMPTED to do the Haven for that fare!!!!!!!!!!

You only live once!  Go for it!

I can totally relate.  I have a cruise in 100 days but I'm feeling withdrawals from the fact that after this one, there's nothing more on the books.  And 2K pp for Haven is really good!!

Regarding Breakaway, we were on her in June and we stayed in the Haven.  Ship is in great shape and we enjoyed her very much!  We spent a lot of time in the Thermal suite, which was awesome, and also the casino.  Casino was tight during our cruise and there was not much variety in machines available.  (Just got off the Sun last week and found the casino to be fantastic!)  For a large ship, I think Breakaway could be a little better in this area.

I hope you go for it!

Awright....awright....awright!

Just pulled the trigger on a Haven Suite on the Breakaway for 09/01-09/08.

Price was too good to pass up....in the $3K+ (that's for the cabin, NOT per person) range using my Cruise Next Certs (x2).  That's "all-in" with all the perks.

I need an intervention!!!!!

Oh good I'm not the only one.

My son and I just got off the Jewel to Alaska and now I'm planning Hawaii in 2021. I figure I should have enough money by then to pay for it. 🙂

We can only cruise in the summer and unless it's free free I'm not paying to go to the Caribbean when I have tropical weather in my hometown.

I am addicted too. I save my pennies for one cruise every two years ago. It is a long wait, worth it of course, but a long wait. Luckily, I do have some pull with the DH and we look for longer voyages. I bargain hunt  and it works out pretty well.

Before we took our first cruise (which YOU were on!), I never expected to be "afflicted" with this illness.  But it happened. "Bigly."  We've had one since then, but don't have any on the schedule yet, and it's killing me not to pull the trigger on a new reservation.  I think we might pick one for 2021, and hope that some <stupid job upheaval> clears up sooner rather than later, and we can do something in 2020, too.

Anyway, @graphicguy very happy for your upcoming adventure.  And we'll expect reviews and photos, of course!
