TS-Hurricane Dorian

Any word on Dorian and changes to sailings Aug 31 onward?

Realize Dorian could skirt south of the keys and impact the gulf- and head to Texas, or could roll around FL. after crossing DR, PR etc

And yes it is early... just wondering if there is any word 5 days out as it impacts travel plans/flights etc.

We are setting sail on Sept 2nd from Charleston so it certainly could impact us.  We're watching closely but won't know anything until later in the week.

Could well be just a Tropical Depression by then.  Still wet and rainy but only the night you sail away.

This storm currently appears to be on track to stay south of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico is on the outer edge of the cone.

Late week could be a wet return for Florida East Coast based ships.  But looks like plenty of room to steer around for Eastern C cruises.

Last on the storm. it is expected to be down graded to a tropical storm by then. Should post no problems for your sailing. We are sailing on the Allure Sep 1st out of Fort Lauderdale.

Dorian update from Carnival's site.    https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6292

Thanks.  That link is helpful!  My cruise is set to sail on the 7th from Port Canaveral, so I've been watching closely.  I am sure the people who live in Florida are very stressed not knowing for sure where this will hit.

It's going to bring rough conditions to the entire East coast of Florida!!
Can you say Surf's UP! ?

As it curves to go Northward,

Southern Fla. may get an ease in nasty conditions........

Looks like it’s going to the Carolinas

Yes, but remember  all models have been confused on this storm, and coastal  areas could still get storm surges and rain.

But sighs of relief are happening.
