Butler question

Is the butler able to bring a glass of wine to the suite and leave it in the fridge, please? We have the premium package.

No.  The beverage package doesn’t include room service delivery whether by your butler or another crew member.

They can - but they will charge you for it.  Personally I send DH!  (I guess I still pay for the service... just differently!!)

Whenever we leave a port, my DW gets me to go to Michael's Club for two glasses of bubbly. Then I take them back to our 'home' to toast the port goodbye. We've always done this!

Of course, if we leave so late that we're eating, we toast in the restaurant.

We always have the premium package and asked the butler to substitute a bottle of Cabernet for the sparking wine. In every case (all SS except for one RS) the bottle has been replaced or we’ve been asked if we wanted it replaced.

Like cruzzzinma, we also ask our butler to swap out the gift bottle of sparkling wine for a bottle of either white or red. We have never been refused.

We are not as knowledgeable about wines as some of the other posters here, so we prefer to take the bottle to dinner with us and get the sommelier's recommendation for swapping it.

 

Doing it that way a number of times, we have exchanged the bottle for some very nice wines to go with our dinner that we wouldn't even have known to ask for otherwise.

Remember you can still bring two bottles on board. If you want an occasional drink in your room without having to go and get it this is another option.

Some butlers will definitely go to Michael's Club /Retreat Lounge and do this for you.  Just ask.  My DW likes wine while getting ready for dinner and mentioned that once to our butler.  He was there every night with a glass for her.  No charges.

We are just back from a week on the Summit and we asked for a glass of wine every afternoon to have while getting ready for dinner and they delivered it every day.
