Tours for disabled New England RCCL cruise

This is my first time posting on Cruise Critic. So I am not sure if this is where I post a question. RCCL is stopping in Portland, Bar Harbor, St John and Halifax. All the tours I've looked into require walking, e.g. market stops for an hour etc. My husband has a limited walking ability due to balance. Are there any driving/narrated only tours? My husband has balance problems and can only take short walks. We don't want to take a tour where we are staying in vehicle for half an hour or so while everyone else is walking around?

Not sure where you have already looked. Have you checked your roll call to see ifothers have organized tours that might suit your needs?

You could also check the Ports of Call forum to see what options may have been posted there. Or to ask your own questions.  https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/9-canadanew-england/

Finally, there is a forum that deals with the needs of disabled cruisers that may offer help:. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/114-disabled-cruise-travel/

Would a car rental work for you?  If so, research your ports...decide what would interest you, rent a vehicle, and go at your own pace!

And yes...the " cruising with disability" boards is very helpful.  Also, the "Port of call" boards...that can give you info on private and self tours in any given port.

Welcome to cruise critic!  There is so much information available on this site that it can take a while to discover all your research options!

Asking this on the RCCL board (each cruise line has their own board) might be helpful too: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/

I haven't sailed on RCCL but I know that the Princess excursions list mobility requirements (easy, moderate, strenuous, wheelchair accessible) and go down to the level of how many yards of walking, steps to be climbed, etc. are involved with each excursion.  Try looking for that level of detail on the RCCL website.
