Can you have more than max capacity of 4 in DOS?

Has anyone ever known of a family of 5 staying in a DOS on the Breakaway?  The specs state the max capacity is 4.  The actual sq ft is almost double our reserved H4 2bdrm which are currently sold out on our sailing and we have 3 small kiddos (7, 4, 3) that could share the sofa bed.  Just seeing if this is possible.

The only time I've seen a cruise line max out a room to OVER the rated capacity is for an infant in a crib.

Other than that, the number of beds in the cabins relates to the lifeboat seat capacity and would be a violation of Coast Guard regulations.

Unfortunately, the only ships that have extra capacity in the DOS is the Bliss and the Joy.  Both of those have two bedrooms as opposed to just one.

Edit:  Some of the smaller ships do have suites with two bedrooms as well.

You have checked with NCL for the definitive answer ? Or options ?

Regarding the number of beds versus life vests versus lifeboat capacity - - -

if the lifeboats have a ZONE capacity then if the neighboring cabins are

not at full occupancy you may be able to add one more ?

Ask the question ? Get a decision !

If roll-away beds are allowed then perhaps there is a solution to this.

I’m pretty sure rollaways are a no go.
