unpacking space

We are booked in a DV5 cabin on the Viking Sky. I look at the 360 view of cabin but I see no drawer space. Where can you stow things when you unpack? Are there drawers or shelves in closet. Most clothing can be hung but where can you put socks and underwear and things like that? I cannot just live out of the suitcase.

In the older Viking Ocean - Star, Sun & Sky, there is a small drawer in each of the bedside tables as well as an open shelf.  In the entrance hall there are 3 drawers under the coffee maker.  Some people have their room steward remove the coffee maker in order to have an extra shelf.  There is a shelf in the closet.  There are 2 drawers in the bathroom in addition to 2 shelves on either side of the sink.  On the desk there is an area to lift up revealing a vanity mirror and a storage area.  In addition, you can lay an open suitcase on the floor at the end of the bed and slide it under and out like a drawer.

If you are on Orion or Jupiter, Viking listened to us and installed 4 drawers in the closet.  Reduced hanging space yes.  But a welcome addition as far as I am concerned.

FWIW, two large gentlemen who travel in rollaboards had no issue with unpacking all our clothes. We had 10 days worth of unmentionables, Sox and shirts, a couple of pair of jeans/slacks and a couple of pairs of shorts apiece. As I recall, we used all the drawers.

We had a PV on our last cruise and even though we had more clothes for that trip, we had empty drawers.

Don't forget the launderette is right down the hall so it’s easy to not take as many clothes.

Here are stateroom (and other ship) pictures. The first one shows the drawers that we ave been talking about. Note that the drawers are as wide as the closet is deep. The closet is about 5 feet wide. The shelf above the hanging rail runs the entire length of the closet (in Star, Sea and Sky closets; Sun, Orion, Jupiter and Venus all have additional drawers in the DV closet and thus a different closet configuration):

Anyone have a photo of the closet with drawers on the Orion (or Sun or Jupiter)?
