37645 Posted November 22, 2019 Author #101 Share Posted November 22, 2019 Formal night tonight in the MDR. Was able to get the 50th birthday cake, very good. French Onion soup for me and my sister had the Minestrone Soup. I had the lobster tail and she had the vegetable curry dish. She loves Indian food so she was happy tonight. Baked Alaska for my sister and Chocolate Molten Cake for myself. She loved the baked Alaska. The molten cake was good but wasn’t really a molten cake, more just chocolate cake with some chocolate sauce. But still good. And birthday cake 🙂 All in. All a pretty good day. Was able to catch the comedy show tonight and saw Family Feud earlier today which was really funny. Tomorrow is CoCo Cay where we have rented.a cabana on Chill Island. When we received our Cabana assignment, it looks like a good spot was assigned to us in the front. Until then 🙂

tinkertwo Posted November 22, 2019 #103 Share Posted November 22, 2019 What is the age for entry into the Solarium? Is it posted, is it still 16 or have they changed that? Didn't see it listed on any of the Navigators or maybe I just missed it.

37645 Posted November 23, 2019 Author #111 Share Posted November 23, 2019 Yesterday was the final day. Perfect Day at CoCoCay. Here are my pics. We went to breakfast and then got off to get to our cabana at Chill Island. Very impressive renovations to the island. View from our balcony. Menu at Snack Shack Cabana Food Delivery menu. We just got some mozzarella sticks and French fries as the main options didn’t sound appealing. Some More Drinks 🙂 Ceiling Fan!!! So exciting as that made it much more bearable. It was cloudy for most of the day so the weather was almost perfect. View of our Cabana. We were assigned #2. Very nice and in the front row. CoCo LoCo Buffet Food. Funnel Cake 🙂 So yummy. Some afternoon fruit All in all a great day at CoCo Cay. The attendant was pretty good about coming by for drinks and/or food orders and checking on us. Had to wait like 10 minutes at the cabana check in desk before anyone came by but other than that it was pretty good. Wish that the delivery menu for the Cabana had more options to it though so that we could have gotten more a meal instead of snacks delivered. Got back into the ship and went to the buffet for dinner one last time. And then we were able to finally see Hiro. Very cool. Missed flight due to scheduling jut was happy that we could see Hiro. 37645 Posted November 23, 2019 Author #112 Share Posted November 23, 2019 Today was the sad day where we had to get off the ship. Had some breakfast in the Windjammer one final time and then carried luggage off and left the ship. Used the facial recognition so it look less then a minute to get through customs. Very cool. Grabbed an Uber and went to the airport. Will be here for many hours because my flight doesn’t leave until this afternoon so feel free to ask any remaining questions that you have :) All in all we had a great time, best cruise we have been on recently. While there are some cons such as some of the speciality dining and some other things detailed out below, all in all it is a wonderful ship and has something for everyone to enjoy themselves. PROS: Almost everything, . Windjammer is good quality and has great variety including plenty of vegetarian food. Jaime’s is AMAZING. Highly recommend this place. We went there for dinner and lunch. Fantastic and great vegetarian options. Wonderland is weird but a good experience if you are really open. Not great for vegetarians as the options are limited and what they have my sister didn’t care for that much., But a good experience to try once. 150 CP - We had a booked this but ended up canceling this as the menu when we got there didn’t really have any real vegetarian entrees. The only option that they had was some cauliflower with yogurt. And I don’t personally truly count this as a meal. So we canceled it and ate in the MRD. MDR - Pretty good food. Some weird stuff sometimes but all in all pretty good and limited wait time. Ship Itself - Really nice and clean. For sure looks brand new. Nicely decorated. Activities - Lot of different activities. Ocean view Balcony - Spacious room with good sized balcony. Nicely done. Very good Cafe Promenade - Great espresso drinks, not too long of a wait. Sorrentos - Great pizza and good little snacks as well. The seafood appetizer is great. A nice cold salad. Park Cafe - Nice bagel bar for breakfast. Solarium Bistro - Nice options for lunch and good and tasty. Solarium - Cool place and good bar. Nice chairs and tables., Quiet without all of then kids. On Air - Neat place with good bar to hang out. El Loco Fresh - Awesome place 🙂 Nachos are great as is other stuff. Loved this place. CONS: Room Service - We ordered this for breakfast one morning when we had an early morning excursion and not only was it not brought during the 30 minute window that we selected, when it did finally arrive, it was almost 30 after that window so we had like 2 minutes to eat. Not a huge deal but a little annoying. Vegan Menu MDR — This menu needs a lot of work. My sister tried some of this menu but we found that the items that she was given was really weird and not what was described. At least it wasn’t what we envisioned. Again not a huge deal but we hope that they work on this some more to get more and better options. ;Wonderland and 150 CP - Both of these are really limited in terms of vegetarians. Also Chops and Hooked are also very limited. Not much if anything for vegetarians. There should be at least one appetizer and at least one entree at every restaurant especially specialty restaurants that is vegetarian. Hopefully this is worked on in the future. . Bars - On sea days most of the bars didn’t open until later which left us with not much to do and having to kind of scavenger the ship for open bars on the sea days as we usually are back by 1 or so. Would love to see some on lower flows such as on deck 5 be open earlier. In the casino you can directly charge your room for casino credits which was great. Please feel free to ask me any other questions or if you would like any additional info/viewpoint on anything from me 😉 all in all a fantastic cruise vacation and can’t wait to do it again. Already looking at the newest Odessa ship for a cruise next year lol,. Happy Cruising All 🙂 1
Rare John&LaLa Posted November 23, 2019 #113 Share Posted November 23, 2019 FYI, the cauliflower steak in 150 is from the Coastal Kitchen menu. I get it about half the time, and I'm definitely a red meat eater.
