Is there some where on the ship to change larger bills?

Will Guest Services, or some place else, break down a $100 bill into smaller bills for me?    Is there a fee?   Trying to avoid the bulk of carrying larger quantities of small bills.

I've never been charged at the front desk.  Toward the end of the week, people are getting $10s for tips so it's possible that their inventory may be down, just speculating.

Above posts correct -

No service charge -

There maybe a limit on how many large bills can be changed to something smaller at one time !

Cashing of Travelers Checks - my recent trip on the JEWEL answer was NO !

Previously had cashed them on the DAWN and the SUN

Hint do the conversion at the Casino - fewer guests - no lines - No waiting for the Purser to do the

exchange at Guest Services !

We've had issues in the past with getting small bills ($1s and $5s) in the casino and have been refused.

After not being able to get change twice either at the casino cashier or the bill breaking machines, I now bring the small bills with me and keep them in the safe.

We needed to break larger bills and found out that the casino change machine did not work (or was out of money) on our last cruise.  We went to the front desk and they did break a $100 bill a couple of times with no charge.

The first time they had lots of small bills like 5's and 10's. The second time they were running low so they had to give me a couple of 20's. I break a $100 bill into $1 and $5 and put in a separate envelope

and keep it in the safe like someone else suggested.

Is there a specific "bill breaker" functionality on the casino machines?  I guess I never paid attention.  I normally just feed my large bill into a slot machine and lose 25 cents, then cash in the voucher.  Then I can mentally categorize it as a potential windfall instead of a straight fee.  🙂

There are specific machines. I believe they are also ATMs.

Same machine you use to cash vouchers.

I also have been refused at customer service due to being low on small bills.   So I always go to the bank now and have envelopes for every port and for the ship extra tips and work out how many I need of every size bill ahead of time.
