maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #81 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Hello, All! Did you miss me? Now that the cruise has ended and I have managed to escape from Dale's cabin, I am free to continue my review. 😜 Tuesday was Labadee and Dale had been nice enough to get us a cabana at Columbus Cove. 😍 First order of business was breakfast at Johnny Rockets. Sorry for the bad picture, but, this lady caught my eye with her bag with multiple dog faces on it. Looking a second time, I noticed she had a duck on her table. Was it one of mine? I couldn't tell. I'm aware of 3 other people hiding ducks on this cruise. And, no, I didn't find any, not for lack of trying.🐥
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #82 Share Posted December 9, 2019 We all met up and made our way off the ship. I've only been to Labadee 1 other time, on the Allure in 2013 and I lasted about 5 minutes out in that heat before I headed back to the ship. Actually, that's a lie. I was there in 2010 on the Freedom, on the day of the Haiti Earthquake, but, we didn't stay because the weather was bad. Prescient, right? I didn't take many pictures in Labadee because the glare was so bad, I couldn't tell if I was taking a selfie or a picture. No idea if the subject was even in frame. So, any that I post are just lucky accidents. Our cabana was great! So many thanks to Dale for the splurge! I knew there was a reason to keep him around. The view from the cabana. Cute shell. Me, trying to take a picture of the ship and accidentally stalking Dale. Figuring it out and getting the ship.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #83 Share Posted December 9, 2019 It was a great day. The next time I cruise, not travelling solo, I might get a cabana, as well. I couldn't tell if I got a picture or not, just aimed my phone in the general direction of a thing. All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing day. Well, except for the part where I almost drowned. Yup, my non swimming ass floated out past the rope line on a mat and couldn't get back. I had to be hauled back to shore. Thanks, Ryma, for saving me. After that adventure, I decided to head back a little early, avoid the crowd. As the tram drove by these vendors, a fight broke out! A little pushing, a lot of shouting, a lot of furtive glances, hoping the tourists didn't notice. It reminded me of Wanda Sykes' routine, "White people are looking at you". I don't remember if we can post links to videos, but, I'll try. If it doesn't work, do yourself a favor and search for it on Youtube.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #84 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Nope, didn't work, it just reposted previous picture. Oh well. I found this in my cabin upon my return. I'm gonna assume the duck just fell on him? Dinner that night was 150 Central Park. Cucumber Martini. Gorgeous bread and tasty! Braised short rib appetizer. Lobster Thermidor. Beef tenderloin.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #85 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Oh, I forgot dessert. I think it was a Chocolate Peanut Butter Tart? After dinner, to the Pub for an Espresso Martini. We went to see the Ice Show. Finally, some ducks! Found this guy creeping around before I went off to bed.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #86 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Wednesday was Jamaica, everybody was going to Margaritaville. I took the opportunity to sleep in a bit, take some pictures around the ship. First, breakfast at Park Cafe. I thought it was raining a little. It was this fool spraying out the inside balconies. Some random pictures from the Boardwalk. Just realized, some of these are not the Boardwalk, but, the Promenade.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #87 Share Posted December 9, 2019 I stumbled upon this in the Aqua Theater, some kind of crew training. They had to climb up onto the raft and use the ropes to flip it over (on top of them).
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #88 Share Posted December 9, 2019 I guess they couldn't get a big tree? I sent 2 pairs of pants out to the laundry, did NOT pay for extradited service, had them back the next morning. The buildings in Falmouth sure are pretty. Not as pretty across the street. #hairgoals The pool at Margaritaville.
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #89 Share Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) Andy, working on his tan. Just how I like 'em, tall, dark and handsome. Some libations. We went back to Playmakers for lunch. This little girl and her Mom were playing foosball. I put a duck on the table next to them. I don't think they found it. 😭 Edited December 9, 2019 by maureencruiser remove duplicate photo
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #90 Share Posted December 9, 2019 I took a picture of my fries that day, but, not my wings. Someone in our group had Johnny Rockets delivered to Playmakers. I compared both her onion rings and her fries unfavorably to what she could have had at Playmakers. Next thing I knew, it was time for dinner at Chops. Blurry Shrimp Cocktail. Lobster Bisque. Filet mignon. And, cut open. Moooooooo..... Cheesecake. Coming down in the Uber, we spotted people our same height. When we landed, we realized why they were so tall. Ended my night watching TV with a friend. maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #91 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Thursday was a sea day. Once again, I slept in. Well, as much as I can, getting up every hour to go to the bathroom. One advantage of that, the only advantage, as I can see is you tend to be up at Sunrise. Who dat? Fully up, time to go back to bed. I had to buy my bus transfer to Miami Airport before noon, so, I dropped off a duck at guest services. Didn't we used to be able to do this stuff via the TV? Or, am I thinking of another cruise line? It was early, I decided I needed my Morning Joe. That picture was taken at 11:23. This one was taken at 11:40. Second cup of Joe. Truer words have never been spoken. At 12:00, they had a cake to celebrate Oasis' 10th anniversary. At 12:18, I went back for more Espresso Martinis. Notice the look on the Martinis' faces when they saw me coming. I swear I don't know how a glass got broken. 🤔
maureencruiser Posted December 9, 2019 Author #92 Share Posted December 9, 2019 Everybody had plans that day, so, I headed off to Portside BBQ by myself. Sorry for the bad picture. I'm sure it was unrelated to how many martinis I had. There's a joke here, I feel it, but, I know Bob is watching. I have to be good. No, I can't! 🤓 This is lunch, so, obviously, you don't get much food. Obviously. Live entertainment. I was sitting right there, so, we chatted a bit. Leaving there, the elevator was a day behind. I took this photo to Guest Services and demanded an extra day due to their mistake. They told me to take a long walk off a short pier.

Alter Ego Posted December 10, 2019 #97 Share Posted December 10, 2019 I’m a little disappointed - I was certain you and @MrFunInTheSun had passed out in the life boats and eventually would wake up and find your way to CLR’s couch. Loving your review (as always). Looking forward to some uncensored photos from Cozumel!!
