mja2573 Posted December 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2019 We are going on our 1st RC cruise in about 15 years in 2020 on the Symphony of the Seas. The ultimate dining package is $179.00 right now. Is that a good price or does it go lower? thank you in advance.
Tulsacoker Posted December 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2019 That pretty good. I would buy it now
molly361 Posted December 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) Not a great price. Normal price is either $199 or $215 You can buy now and cancel and re-buy if it goes down Last year's Black Friday sale had them between $125-$150 but it did not happen again and I don't think that it will. It was $154 on the Black Friday sale this year, at least for Rhapsody in February and Serenade in May.

Or was it the $179 (which is what we paid on Ovation, well worth it IMO given the pricing at the specialty restaurants)?

On the cruise planner sale that started today they are back at $179.

Ellen, if the normal price is $199 or $215, wouldn't $179 be a good price????????????????
chillyw Posted December 12, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 12, 2019 I sail on the Symphony on Saturday. Saw it once for $175 and grabbed it. Outside of that, it was basically never below $199 except for $179 on black Friday so I think that's a good price. Hope that helps.
BPyser1 Posted December 12, 2019 #12 Share Posted December 12, 2019 I'm sailing on Symphony next month on 1/25. The Unlimited Dining Package normal price was $215. During their numerous sale periods, it dropped to $199, and then back to $215 when they were done. For Black Friday and Cyber Monday they dropped to $179 and promptly got sold out. Hope I can still get reservations when I get onboard. We're early eaters, so I think we'll be fine 🙂

I think I said not a GREAT price, better price yes. It;s not to me when I paid $126 and $154 for the Oasis last year. I also told them that they can buy and cancel and re purchase if the price goes down.😇 Edited December 12, 2019 by molly361

SNJCruisers Posted December 13, 2019 #17 Share Posted December 13, 2019 Our August Oasis sailing has been 199 and has had no reduction even over Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It has just dropped to 179 and I will snag it today and monitor it for any price drops
Tulsacoker Posted December 13, 2019 #18 Share Posted December 13, 2019 The OP asked if $179 is a good price for UDP on Symphony of the seas.... as sated before it got off track. Yes that is a good price
Blondiemomm Posted December 13, 2019 #19 Share Posted December 13, 2019 $179 is probably the best price you will get. Book it now and IF id drops re-book.
Rare vacationlover_mn Posted December 14, 2019 #20 Share Posted December 14, 2019 I think it’s a pretty good price, and really worth it 🙂. We had paid $149 for the previous UDP program on symphony this past feb, and it was well worth it! Hooked is my fave, and I always like one meal at wonderland 🙂

mja2573 Posted December 14, 2019 Author #22 Share Posted December 14, 2019 I went ahead and purchased for 3 at $179.00. Would be great if the price drops but, if not at least we are locked in at that price. Thank you everyone for your help.

newyorkjoe76 Posted December 14, 2019 #25 Share Posted December 14, 2019 Interesting, perhaps I’ll call today and see if they have any insight. Kind of weird it hasn’t shown up.
