sdrocks Posted December 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2019 We are b2b on Oasis in Feb. Labadee on both legs. We are in a GS so can go to the private beach. Decided to book a beach lounger for 2 on second leg. Booked it on 11/27 for $34. Today the price is $49. So guess we got lucky with one thing anyway. 😋
Clarea Posted December 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 12, 2019 I didn't know that beach loungers cost extra now.
blueridgemama Posted December 12, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2019 Probably means the clam shell beach loungers for 2. I thought they were only at Adrenaline Beach though not at Barefoot Beach.
cruisegirl1 Posted December 12, 2019 #4 Share Posted December 12, 2019 We stopped at Labadee 2 months ago and I don’t recall seeing clamshells or beach beds on the suite beach. Just regular lounge chairs and cabanas. Of course my recollection might be off. m

Rare brillohead Posted December 13, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 13, 2019 There's no way I'd pay for a clamshell on unwalkable/unswimmable Adrenaline Beach when I had access to free loungers on sandy swimmable Barefoot Beach, but everyone is entitled to spend their money however they want. Merion_Mom Posted December 13, 2019 #7 Share Posted December 13, 2019 @sdrocks hasn't returned yet to explain, but my interpretation of the OP is that while s/he has access to Barefoot Beach, s/he is paying for something somewhere else anyway. Yes your interpretation is correct. We do have access to barefoot beach & it's possible we may cancel these chairs when get on board, but decided to get them for now. We will be on Oasis week before with stop on Labadee & plan to go to barefoot beach then.

Correct. I plan to see how the first time goes before deciding either way.

We had a clamshell on our last trip to Labadee and have another one for May. We don't swim but do wade and cool off in the water and Adrenaline beach is a lot better than it used to be. They've cleaned it up so it's very walkable and swimmable now. We like to have the shade and read and it's quieter, but it's also a lot more useable than it used to be. I hate the wall to wall sardine feeling of the beaches on the other side. Edited December 13, 2019 by BND

Glad to hear it's more functional now... it was just wasted space before, IMO. Love the Beach Bungalows on Columbus Cove.... convenient to food and restrooms, and WAY more affordable than the atrociously priced cabanas! We have a clamshell booked for Feb 🙂. How close are they to the swim up bar? How early should we get there, to get a front row one? For 2 people, is it worth the extra $100 to get the daybed thing? We have the beverage package, so the free bottles of water with the daybed aren’t a giant perk for us.
