Transport from Seward to Anchorage

Hi - we are a group of 8-10 on an Alaska cruise that will end in Seward. We are looking at options to Anchorage through HAL, and the price per person seems insane for a 2.5 hour bus ride. Anyone have any alternative recommendations? The train is pretty late in the day - we were hoping to check out anchorage before an early train ride to Denali the next morning. Thanks!

There are a few independent shuttle companies. With the size of your group, you probably would save money to charter a shuttle. Google Alaska cruise transportation to get the names. I’m sorry; I can’t remember them.

  I also used this company from anc to seward....could not have been better service, driver, guide.  Oh that every travel company performed this well at least on my one time to use them.

We used this company with great results .Take the 1/2 day tour which includes the wildlife Center ,not to be missed   .We asked them to drop us at the airport to get our car rental .  This is their web site :https://www.akcruiseshuttle.com/seward/

 

 BTW  in Anchorage the best thing to see is the Anchorage Zoo ,where there are wolves . wolves are  the most illusive in the wild  . 

 We did the whole trip on our own . with a car best to book the Denali Lake view lodge over looking Lake Otto . It is a AAA Triple diamond B&B  .Fabulous & reasonable with breakfast in the fridge  Get a room with your private balcony  .With in a short walk is a ATV place .We did the Tundra ride in a Rhino  ,like a golf cart but with 4 wheel independent   drive  .Great fun

 Make sure you book your Denali touring at least 6 to 9 months in advance
