What about NEIL SEDAKA although I know he's American? Just a thought. I think they might want someone who is likely to live a bit longer than Sedaka, and who will appeal to the under 40s rather than the over70s.
crimson moon Posted January 14, 2020 #103 Share Posted January 14, 2020 As a very leftfield suggestion how about singer/songwriter, producer and visual artist - Magne Furuholmen. For those that don't know him, he was the keyboard player in the Norwegian group A-ha

molecrochip Posted January 15, 2020 #122 Share Posted January 15, 2020 It was mentioned somewhere else that Gary Barlow was seen being given a tour of the Iona ship hall by P&O execs before Christmas.
happy v Posted January 15, 2020 #123 Share Posted January 15, 2020 I've been following this but not expecting to be massively impressed. However I am. Gary Barlow is well know and very easy to listen to. Does this mean he will actually perform on the ship or is he digital like Gareth Gates? I think the musical director title suggests he will have input but doubt he will be on many cruises after the naming one... He could probably still sell out Wembley, so not sure a theatre on a ship could be cost effective for him. I think his interests have switched to the West End, so hopefully he will shake up the whole theatre/show set up for P&O. Andy
