Rare John&LaLa Posted January 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Welcome back to another self deprecating voyage with Laura and I. Who am I kidding, it's mostly me and my camera(s) Quick explanation on the title, it's not what you think. Monday night is the CFP Championship Game, and Laura's beloved Georgia Bulldawgs aren't included.😢 The two combatants are the LSU Tigers and the Clemson Tigers, AKA cats.🐅 Nevermind, this is about the beloved musical and the new shortened version. Now the show isn't until day 5, so you can bail late in the week if you care to. Here is a link to last year's voyage if you want to catch up. See you on the ship Edited January 11, 2020 by John&LaLa

I don't think it's very accurate We are on deck 6 near the aft elevators, standard balcony, great location Cabin should look like this

Rare John&LaLa Posted January 11, 2020 Author #5 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Just a little housekeeping to begin with. Be mindful when quoting posts with pictures. If it's not relevant to your comment, try and delete them, it will make the picture police happy. I like to use the thank you button instead of creating a post that just says thanks It doesn't mean I'm not acknowledging your kind words I will try and answer all the questions I can, but I need to be mindful of spending time with the lovely LaLa Feel free to answer any questions that others pose. sometimes I'm slow or occupied. See above If you don't like the musical CATS, that's fine, it's not for everyone. Just try and keep any blatant negativity to yourself please I really don't want this to go off the rails, and force the admins to delete stuff and like I said earlier, most of the CATS discussion won't happen until late in the voyage. anyway, have fun 28

GSRDPM Posted January 11, 2020 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Have a wonderful trip. We are looking forward to our first time on an Oasis class on Feb 9th! Also it will be our first time in a JS. My wife and I particularly enjoy the shows. I think you commented on another thread I posted on. I have a reservation for the first night headliner show but I have heard that there may be different headliner acts through the week and the cruise planner will not let me reserve more than one headliner show. I would appreciate it if you could comment if the headliner shows are different each night they have them and if you attend them how difficult it is to get a seat without a reservation. Thanks again!

Rare A&L_Ont Posted January 11, 2020 #12 Share Posted January 11, 2020 I’m on board, figuratively. I think I see some Jamaican Patties in your future and some warm weather photos for the rest of us stuck in the cold.

Tee & Chilli Posted January 11, 2020 #14 Share Posted January 11, 2020 How are you getting to Miami? The parking garage was packed for the Dec 1 sailing. Glad we arrived early and the only spots available were the top deck. Enjoy the cruise.
The sea calls my name Posted January 11, 2020 #15 Share Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) I am with Laura, our Bulldogs came up short. So very close. I grew up in Louisiana though, so Geaux Tigers of the purple and gold variety. On a side note, you know John, come to think of it, I did not see a single " service" animal on our Dec 15 Oasis sailing. Interesting. I didn't make a reservation for the headliner, as a Pin, we really don't have to. I did make them for all the other shows. This is the Headliner description from my Cruise Planner With the exception of long repo's, I rarely see more than one act as headliner Our March TA on Allure doesn't even list one

Rare John&LaLa Posted January 11, 2020 Author #19 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Speaking of shows, here is my proposed schedule for next week. Aqua 80's at 8:30 tomorrow night. Always a good idea to get it early in case there are weather issues Since I lived the 80's, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing this one. One Sky @ 8:30 Monday night, conflicts with CFP game🏈 One Sky is the Royal Production show in the Opal Theater. This may be one and done for me, but I'll give it a chance Oh, and here are the rules for the Opel Theater Frozen in Time @ 8:30 on Tuesday. This is the ice show in Studio B I've always enjoyed this show, I understand the sand artist is still included. I hope it's the Princess and the Pea Here are some pics from the Web Site
sdrocks Posted January 11, 2020 #20 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Looking forward to your review. We board in 29 days for a b2b. Can barely wait. Would love to cruise as much as you do. Too far away to drive, flying very expensive. Will just enjoy what we can afford.
Rare John&LaLa Posted January 11, 2020 Author #21 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Show Schedule cont.. Stand up comedy @ 9pm on Wednesday I often try and sit up front, I don't think Laura is a fan of that Apparently I did schedule the Headliner, 7:15 pm on Thursday This may cut into dinner, questionable if we go CATS @ 9:30pm on Friday. I think this is the first show There should be a matinee on Saturday afternoon and an evening show on Saturday as well I'm also thinking about Insider's View if I can get it for a discount. I doubt I'll pay $

I found it strangely enjoyable and weird in a good way😊
