Rare oskidunker Posted January 23, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2020 Have been there before and done the mansions. Was thinking of a sailing trip on a sail boat has anyone done this?

Nitemare Posted January 23, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2020 Not sure why you needed to post 3 subjects on the same topic, but we've enjoyed the Adirondack ship sailing tours in Boston and NYC

We used America's Cup Charters a couple years ago-- very nice outfit and they have a fleet of vintage America's Cup sailing yachts. They offer a few sailing times a week that you can purchase tickets for (as opposed to chartering the whole boat which was not cheap)-- I think we paid something like $80 a person and it was a great experience. Pepper0074 Posted January 25, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2020 We love Sight Sailing of Newport. They are located on Bowens Wharf just south of the tender pier. They have three different sized boats so that you can choose from different experiences. They have a public and private sails on schooner, Aquidneck; a 46 foot sloop, Sightsailer: and a 34 foot Starlight. Starlight is for private sails only. The staff and crew are very well trained and the owner can frequently be found at the helm. He loves what he does. https://sightsailing.com/ Enjoy!
