Navigator of the seas cafe promenade

We tend to get the refreshment package on our cruises on RCCL. I noticed that Navigator has both a Café Promenade and also Starbucks.  I know that on other cruises the specialty coffee was similar to starbucks  but my understanding is Starbucks is not included in drink packages.. Are they considered separate restaurants when it comes to the drink packages?? Thank for any info....

Yes, separate restaurants...Cafe Promenade is included....Starbucks would not be included in any type of package....

If you're a Starbucks fan, they do accept Starbucks cards.

I'm not a Starbucks fan, but my understanding is that Starbucks cards are usable only on Oasis and Anthem class ships. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can only use it on ships which have a "real" Starbucks - I don't think Quantum class have them.

Sobro, who loves coffee but can't stand Starbucks. And who also can't seem to get RCI ship class names correct before 6:00 AM.

So, how is the coffee at the Cafe Promenade? I have the drink package, but haven't cruised on Navigator.

 Navigator  had a dedicated Starbucks added during her last drydock.

I like it better than the "specialty" coffee dispensed in the Diamond Lounge.
