Any updates from current cruisers. The ship returned to port in Feb 13, 3 days early, and underwent a thorough deep clean/sanitization. Ship sailed as scheduled on Feb 16 and zero reports of issues/cases, etc aboard so far. First couple days, they served food in the buffet - guests weren't allowed to serve themselves. Not sure if that's ended yet or not . Personally, wouldn't hesitate - in fact, was trying to book for the 4th of April ourselves, but missed our window. ☹️ Enjoy
WallyNDiane Posted February 21, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2020 We were on the Feb 2 Norovirus cruise. When we arrived back in Ft Lauderdale, we saw sanitation service trucks already parked on the dock. So I am sure that ship was as sanitized as possible. Indeed Princess staff served food, drinks and seasonings in the buffet. Average age of the Feb 2 cruise passengers were quite old. We saw more canes, walkers, wheelchairs and scooters on this cruise than any other cruise. I would not hesitate to cruise again on this ship. Any updates from current cruisers. Pretty much every ship/cruise will have cases of NORO at some level. Most of the time you will not hear anything about it unless it gets to the level like the CB. Princess does an excellent job of sanitizing. Based on the level of the outbreak Princess will adjust the response accordingly.
KevintheIrishDJ Posted February 21, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2020 There is another post that says they had two cruise outbreaks.
Kate P.C Posted February 23, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2020 That should not stop you from cruising. Keep washing your hands and you will be just fine. Even if the ship you are on didn't have a NORO outbreak it may happen while you are there, so just to stay safe, all you need to do is wash your hands often and keep them from touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
