possum52 Posted October 11, 2020 #577 Share Posted October 11, 2020 The Pies were terrible, perhaps too big a game against the Eagles last weekend. We watched a recorded program from part way through the second quarter. Geelong just too good. Looking forward to the prelims next week. NSWP Posted October 11, 2020 #578 Share Posted October 11, 2020 So do the AFL officials and sponsors etc going to the AFL grand final from outside of Qld have to quarantine? Or have they been granted exemptions to visit Fortress Queensland?

Leigh LOL, this is from Live score. I don't care what the AFL calls them. In my book, when there are 2 games played and the winners of each game face off in a final, they are semi's for me and just about every other sport as well. Sorry to correct you, and for being pedantic. But it is AFL and that is what they call it. Look at this from AFL app - top right hand corner. PF for prelim final. NoWhiners Posted October 16, 2020 Author #582 Share Posted October 16, 2020 Just wanted to check in and say, in a minor miracle, we will get to see both semi's this week. Of course, they are on in the wee hours, but I am going to try and catch at least the 2nd half. In other news, we finally are done with really hot temps--85 F yesterday (29 C). It will drop to the high 70s, a few 80 degree days. This is the perfect time of year. I guess you are all well into spring now, with summer just around the corner. I just read that we will have a warmer than usual winter. that means I can play more golf 😁
Rare MicCanberra Posted October 16, 2020 #583 Share Posted October 16, 2020 Good news. I am hoping for a Port vs Brisbane GF., but anything can happen depending on which teams show up to play this weekend.

It would be great if the top 2 could meet.

NoWhiners Posted October 17, 2020 Author #591 Share Posted October 17, 2020 I saw almost the whole game. It was exciting, surprising--and wet. I thought would get the draw to extend time but they were a little off. I guess we can just give Richmond their 3rd flag in 4 years?! 😉

NoWhiners Posted October 17, 2020 Author #593 Share Posted October 17, 2020 Not a surprise I suppose. I am hoping I can stay awake to watch Brisbane--Geelong. Do the oddsmakers say it will be a Port--Brisbane final??
