Breathalyser kits no longer compulsory https://www.leshuttle.com/uk-en/discover/traveller-guides/driving-in-france-for-new-drivers-and-first-time-travellers#:~:text=Do you still need a,many drivers still do so. The ham sandwich comment was a bit tongue in cheek, we will have breakfast before we leave Ashford for the tunnel, and will have a few snacks with us, we will eat when we get Honfleur where we are staying overnight and gives a chance to look around somewhere I have wanted to go. We will travel to our home for 2 weeks the following day, the people we are renting from are getting us some essentials as it’s a Sunday when we arrive and no shops open.

Rare Eglesbrech Posted August 22 #61385 Share Posted August 22 I was so pleased when Avril checked in, great to know that she is well. I think we need an annual check in for those have simply vanished either by choice or for other reasons. I miss Harry, its been a long time since he posted and also folks like Andrew (Britboys). Wowz disappeared, though it’s been reported that he posts elsewhere. There are many more I have known for years who just fade away. @jeanlyon and @daiB you will remember some of the old faithful's like the monocled mutineer (Derek). Some day I will simply vanish too.

About 4/5 years ago I noticed a similar things...folks just " disappeared" so I started a thread with the names of missing peeps in the title...pleased to say that some did respond...
Josy1953 Posted August 22 #61387 Share Posted August 22 We had a disastrous evening bowling, we all lost, we are now 2nd in the division and our opponents overtook us to become top of the league. We only have 2 ladies matches left.

Angel57 Posted August 23 #61389 Share Posted August 23 Good morning from blustery Dorset. I hope everyone is ok as the weather has been rather wet and windy in large swathes of the country. x
Josy1953 Posted August 23 #61390 Share Posted August 23 (edited) We have had a rough night with the high winds howling around the house and heavy rain but it has started to clear now. I braved the wind to go and put one of the bins upright and to collect papers off the back garden where the paper box had blown over and it's lid had blown round the corner onto the side garden. DH's job this morning will be cleaning up the twigs and leaves. I hope you have all survived the bad weather without damage to your property. Our captain gave all of us little crocheted things with positive thoughts on them last night because she knew that we were going to have a hard game. Josy1953 Posted August 23 #61392 Share Posted August 23 I remember the Monacled Mutineer. We have lost a lot of theolder contributers but it is nice to get new ones such as Vampiress88 and her family in their place.

kalos Posted August 23 #61397 Share Posted August 23 The winds were not too bad around here ,the wheelie bins stayed where we had put them out on the street ready for collection this morning . The windchimes outside our back door were giving value for money . Some would say ,a pretty sound investment 🙃😉 Just as the winds are calming ,I saw this which made me think of some of our posters who are not having it easy at the moment . To those (you know who you are ) and all other posters - Take Care 🙂 4 1
