P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

Glad you had an enjoyable cruise and good food in Epicurian etc.

 

They didn’t offer a shuttle the last time we were in Lisbon and that was last year. The port is a relatively short walk and to be honest the Lisbon traffic is so bad that it’s probably quicker than any shuttle.

Well the scammers have been busy today, just got home and checked my emails, 13 I have reported from wining various items like kettles, air fryers, tooth brushes, hammer drills and 3 saying my netflix account has been suspended for non payment can I please update my payment details......err hello I don't have a netflix account!!!!

They are so annoying aren’t they. One of my relative answers the phone with “you have reached the office of the telecom ombudesman”. Works every time.

we had shuttle service in march when we were on Iona. Its a short walk if you want to go nr the horse but up the top its quite long, although coaches have to go all the way around so took quite a while

Yes they are. I could open a shop with the amount of things I have supposedly won over the last 12 months.

I was very impressed with my new Samsung phone the other day, or maybe it was Google security, but I was warned that an incoming call was a Suspected scam, and enabled me to ignore and block the number.

I had inadvertently given my phone number to one of those annoying ads that pop up at the foot of a news item. I thought it was a Martin Lewis article about whether to fix my energy or not, but turned out to be for some likely non existent gadget to get subscription TV channels for free, and probably illegal as well. Although I had deleted as much as I could, it probably still had my phone number with some slick seller keen to secure a sale.

No shuttle buses in June, some of the older people having a moan that it was to far to walk. Couple of cafes to have a rest at before you reach the square. Hope you had a good cruise and a germ 🦠 free one.

We have been to Lisbon many times and this was the first time there was no shuttle bus.

There was a small van shuttle for wheelchair users.

Been missing the food porn Graham. Don't tell anyone, but we are on Anthem Friday week for 12 nights to the Canaries, so will be in A Coruña and Lisbon. Drinks for use mere Emeralds are expensive ,but we can use our winter fuel allowance.....oh!....Never mind, Diamond when we get back.🤣

Never mind Zapp, you can have some Ginjinha in Lisbon to warm you up instead. We always go to the really old shop for a glass of it, one of our traditions in Lisbon.

Vigo, Santander and A Corunna were short walking distance to shops.

Lisbon centre was a long way for people with disabilities.

Welcome back Graham.  I thought you were away because of the brevity of your recent posts. 🙂  I hope Ventura was good - my son is on in 3 weeks, taking over a Canaries cruise I had booked for myself & his Dad.  He’s just back from an adventure on a tiny clipper - 12 pax - to Sparvald; polar bears and the like.  He swam!  Think there may be a difference

 

We had an indulgent lunch out in the sun (just missed the showers).  Mackerel Caesar salad. Pretty much zero food miles.  It was super

I have just got home after 4.5 hours in outpatients department having tests though at least 3 hours was spent in various waiting rooms the consultant is going to look at my test results tomorrow morning and then call me to let me know the results.

I get a good few. One today from Amazon in German. I don't have an Amazon account and as far as I know I'm not German.
