Good that Air NZ is taking Kiwis home.  I recall there were a few Brits also.

3 planes will take foreign passengers home from MV Artania.

(Chartered by Phoenix Reisen since 2011 - 1200 passengers.  Built for Princess Cruises, as Royal Princess, launched 18/2/84, christened 15/11/84 by Lady Diana.)

How large is Rottnest? I'm thinking there will be quite a number of Australian passengers needing medical isolation. And when S Aussies return here they will then have to self isolate for another 14 days and because it's a ship evac the police will be monitoring.

It's good the Kiwis can go straight back to NZ.

Isolation will be waiting for them as well .

Yes, the Kiwis got on to that straight away. A good thing. I was thinking it was good for them to be on home soil rather than having to do the 14 days in Aus then another 14 days in NZ.

Is the Kiwi Govt housing everyone like what is now being introduced here tonight? People have been either very good or openly flouting the isolation rules.

Yes .The Govt has booked out Hotels and Motels around the airport . As well they have filled Alexandra Park Raceway  carpark with hundreds of camper vans , to supplement the existing facility at Whangaparoa.
All arrivals must fill out a form giving an isolation address and contact no for checking .If the address is not local they are put into a place by customs and must stay there for 14 days before travelling back to there homes in any other part of NZ.

 Correction,

All the 100 kiwis will fly home tonight, and for the Australians, 200 WA residents will go to Rottnest and the other 800 will be quarantined in hotels before going back to their home states.

As for the 33 poms, they are in negotiations with the High commission.
