That is a nice itinerary. Freedom's sailings for 2021 are just too short, even if you do a b2b, to make an interesting itinerary.

January 17th. I’m really thinking/hoping it will be a go being so far away. Time will tell, is all I know. The ports are great, and the ship looks amazing after being amped.

What if we drove up to New England and took a cruise from there? Summer 2021 could we see New England via car and hotel(s) and then cruise to Canada????  Probably there is a Cruise Port near Boston??

I'm a teacher who needs to cruise sometime beginning in late June and any cruise that sailed in August would need to be back by August 30th. That's why I usually book cruises for the month of July.

We are not interested with the RCC ship out of Baltimore. Grandeur of the Seas if I recall correctly.

Manhattan would be a hassle.

Besides Boston, does RCC depart from anywhere else in New England? (Probably not)

Baltimore....NJ , NYC, and Boston.

Could always pay in full, roll the dice the sailing never happens and get all your money back, deposit and final payment and then book with another cruiseline next summer.

The OP may have a different opinion of the ship. Yep, we've been to all of them before. The itinerary is good but to short at least for us. Just showing the OP another option.

Hi folks, as the OP I'll admit that I am not interested in The Empress of the Seas at this point.

I'm leaning toward The Freedom of the Seas or Oasis...both cruise out of my home state in July of 2021.

Probably not gonna fly to Miami or any Florida port.

Thanks to all who are always willing to interact with me w/ the goal of being helpful!

It's really a different kind of itinerary then they usually offer, 5 ports in 7 days. for a Canada/New England sailing.............I guess they have to be imaginative to get people to sail on that ship..............I still know we would never sail on that ship again, once was enough. To many other options out there, ships and cruiselines.

 

I guess though if it's your first cruise ever, it might be okay. I still wouldn't recommend to somebody if you wanted them to cruise again.

Your opinion is exactly why we would "never" book or "not" book an itinerary or ship based on someones opinions or experiences positive or negative. Again just throwing out another option to the OP that no one else did.

It would have to be some very interesting itinerary to get me to consider ever booking  Empress or Grandeur. Though if Empress did one week Bermuda sailings like it used to years ago maybe I would consider it. Back then the ship functioned more like a hotel and most of the time was spent on Bermuda. It was also nice to be able to dock right in downtown Hamilton. I did it on Celebrity's Horizon. Empress was docked in front of us.

So I'm the OP...Steve....back to report on what was said on my call to Royal Caribbean this afternoon.

I called 1-866-562-7625 and canceled my 7/13/2020 reservation and had it converted to a Future Cruise Credit (FCC)

While I had RCC's rep named "Mario" on the line, I asked him about the OASIS out of Cape Liberty on July 30, 2021

For my family of three, the lowest regular price was the Inner Stateroom designed for 4 passengers.

2 twins that can be pushed together to make a queen bed & it has a sofa bed that can sleep 2 passengers.

He said they did not have the 2 twins with a pullman bed available.

So, paying for our family of three to stay in the Inner Stateroom that is for up to 4 people would be $4,0062.69

Just as a comparison, sailings inside final payment are probably 1/2 that.
