Sorry for duplicating If someone already posted this.  Actually I was VERY surprised to receive an offer for a complimentary veranda stateroom since I didn’t play a lot in the casino.  Have to book by APRIL 25, 2020.  However, it doesn’t mention the block out dates and the limitation.  These are the sailings mentioned in the email though.

If totally complimentary why not?  Would make it as far into the future as possible.

While things might be opening up in rural areas, LA just shut all sports and concerts till 2021.  CDC suggested corona would be back this fall.

Gonna be a while till we cruise.

Have you read the " Terms and Conditions " of the offer ?

There might be some that you would not be comfortable with .

( Minimum amount of time you must spend daily in the casino ;  minimum dollar bet at the tables  )

Last offer I received was in January, Apex and Edge sailings only, a few in April and several in May.  I booked the Apex for May 10th which was cancelled.  Nothing new for me.

Casinos are fairly dirty places, you would imagine that they can't possibly have staff wiping down a slot machine after each and every person.  Felted tables with physical chips is even worse.  Blue Chip offers generally only waive the base fare, you have tax and gratuities but generally no perks.  However, if you have either CC status or high enough Blue Chip status, you may get some perk benefits.

Generally speaking, the offers are based on previous play.  If the OP went on the offer and didn't play, they wouldn't receive a "bill" at the end, they simply wouldn't receive another "free" cruise again until they play again.  One exception to that is their partnerships, X (and RCL) has a partnership with MGM, where Blue Chips offers a free cruise based on MLife/MGM play (or your high MLife status which requires MLife play).  It will remain to be seen if these partnerships are altered or not, quite possible the partnerships playing requirements are actually lowered in order to get more gamblers aboard.  Cruise ships gaming rules/odds and comp payouts are generally less than most Vegas casinos.

Just curious, does anyone ever receive perks as part of the Blue Chips comped offer?  Blue Chips told me they don't do that on comped offers (NCL does).

What perks are you talking about? If your talking about your Captain's Club perks, yes you get that.

With the Blue Chip Club if you have a certain tier status you get either a classic or premium beverage package and free internet for the entire cruise.

I understand there are perks, like the internet, that are included in Captain's Club and/or based on one's Blue Chips status.  I'm asking if X has ever offered anyone a comped cruise with perks?

I have never received a NCL emailed offer, I generally call the casino dept, tell them what sailings I want and they tell me if my play qualifies for a specific room type and it can be booked with or without perks.  I could be offered the choice of comped balcony stateroom with perks or a mini-suite without perks.

I booked one...Edge for December 6 ..... only paid tax..... awesome deal

We booked the Edge Dec. 6 as well, along with another couple.  Free E2  balcony on the 7th deck, midship.  Paid taxes and port fees of $229.

We were both on Celebrity Equinox last October for a 10 nighter and usually played the slots for about an hour each night after late dinner/show.  I'm guessing that's where the inducement came from - hopefully sailing will have commenced by then!  Looking forward to the Edge!

I wouldn't qualify for a complimentary cruise from the casino.

I was only making a suggestion to check if there are any conditions to the offer.

He said he didn't play a lot in the casino and might not be aware that there could be some.

I mentioned two examples of what they might be.

The latest targeted offer was sent out to members of the Blue Chip Players Club, and it was for specific dates and sailings for veranda cabins and sent to a large target of the casino pool of players.  You have to pay port charges and taxes, and did not include any perks.  If you are a higher tier member of Blue Chip, then you could qualify for free internet, drinks, and gratuities based on the tier status.  You always get any Captain’s Club benefits that you qualify for, and it is a very short term offer to fill cabins. The written offer does not have a requirement for average bet size or hours played. However, if the player does not play enough to cover the cost of the comped room, they would not be likely to get the same offer again.

This past week, most of the shoreside  representatives who worked with the casino program were fired,  and a few furloughed, along with many other wonderful Celebrity employees due to downsizing during the current world health events. I wish those former employees all of the best, and hopefully they can find new employment shortly.

Thanks.  NCL includes perks regardless of casino or cruise line status, I was evaluating each line's offerings.  Your comment confirmed what Blue Chips told me.

For all reading this, the casino is a 3rd party who books "free cruises"; comped value is based on current pricing, yet that should include bookings with perks which is currently not the case with X/RCL.  As a gambler, I would "bet" this will change, just a question of "when" within the next decade

Couldn't resist any longer.  Just booked Equinox for late November.  12 night cruise on veranda for $130 per person.  I think it is worth the gamble.  Plus if they do cancel i will eventually get it back.  So optimistic that we also booked Infinity for Jan 2021 under my husband's deal.

Yes.  We have done that several times.  Blue Chip knew what we were doing.  They said just go to guest services and swap who is in each cabin after you board.  Each room has to have one of the persons from the offers.  Easy peasy!  This time we each booked a different cruise.  Not sure we could find anyone that would want to go!

I received this offer as well. Giving it strong consideration. Did anyone ask about other sail dates? The offer said that more sailings are available. We have a cruise booked in October, so I would be wanting to space them out a little.

When I called about the offer, I was told my level was pearl.  She did say the points reset on 12-31.  Do the points reset every year?  I have only been on 1 celebrity cruise last November.  I would of thought that I was at least Onyx by my level of play.

Yes; like most travel loyalty programs, when you make status in the current year, you get to keep that status and all its benefits next year although the tier points reset to zero.
