Cruise Gopher Posted April 17, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2020 Looks like a casino offer based on the card suit logos. I wish I got these offers. How much do you have to gamble and how do you sign up for the casino program?
parrotfeathers Posted April 17, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2020 No didn't get that offer but did get an email reminding me to book extras and excursions for my November cruise. Probably are some who would book a free interior for July but I'm not one of them.
wannagonow123 Posted April 17, 2020 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2020 It did come from Club Royal. They have been sending them out all year. You pay port fees & taxes when you book. The restrictions are no holiday or peak sailings, which right now I don't think will be a problem. You also have the option to upgrade for a real reasonable price. Mike offer was for an ocean view on the Harmony. Booked it for July. The very next week my husband got the offer for an interior. I called and we were able to book the next week in the same room we already had for $200 extra. Now it's just a wait game as to if the ships sails, and what the CDC does with the "Fit to Sail" regulations. We are also booked for another one out on New Orleans in September. It is a legit offer. You do need to call the number on the card for booking, but they are really helpful.

wannagonow123 Posted April 17, 2020 #8 Share Posted April 17, 2020 I tend to agree with you about my July cruise but I wanted something good to look forward to. With all the Gloom & Doom going on, we all need some sort of hope in our lives. It's different for every individual. Since this whole has erupted, I have had 3 cruises cancelled. (different cruise line). We drive for all sailings, hotels do not need to paid in advance, and we only pay port fees & taxes. Minimal cost for a little bit of hope. When/if cruises resume, I highly doubt cruises will resemble anything we are used to. I do not believe they will cram passengers in every nook & cranny like before. They may not even operate the Oasis class ships due to operation costs and staff required. I know there is a lot of dissention from crew members that are still stuck on ships, and they may consider other options when they finally get off. The whole thing is that everyone needs hope nowadays. I hope it sails, but am I gonna cry if it doesn't? Nope.
firefly333 Posted April 17, 2020 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2020 Nope, but I'd love a free offer. Rcl ... better late than sorry just sent me a royal up on my cancelled cruise. 170 pp for a spacious balcony... that's a really good price lol. Too bad the cruise is cancelled by them. 145 for ocean view balcony. Where do I sign up!! I think they are behind just sending me this today

It will be a very long time before I set foot in that area. People dropping like flies. A lot of my friends and dog events are in LA but I'll just have to miss them. My friends are very afraid for their health and that of their families. Dog shows have lots of people but nowhere near as many as on a cruise. All shows are being cancelled right now until November at least. We are thinking of cancelling our 4 day show in September where I live in the south. You are very brave. jbr5049 Posted April 18, 2020 #14 Share Posted April 18, 2020 I got 2 of these offers. Redeemed one for Oasis of the Seas in Sept this year. 7 Night upgraded to a Balcony w/Fees was only 300$.
NCMtnBoys Posted April 18, 2020 #15 Share Posted April 18, 2020 (edited) Yes, I received it too, but mine was for a comp Oceanview. We already had Harmony booked for late October, in a Central Park Balcony cabin, so I called and rebooked the same Harmony cruise using this offer but paid an extra $215 per person to move up to a midship Oceanview Balcony cabin. I paid them the money for the new booking and will get back the $500 deposit for the previous booking. With our original booking, I had a final payment of $1603 coming up in July. Now using this new offer, it's all paid ($950 total including the upgraded cabin, taxes/port fees, insurance and gratuities) and I saved close to $1500 and got an Oceanview Balcony cabin rather than an Interior balcony cabin. And I don't have a huge final payment coming up and have to wonder whether to pay that large sum or cancel it, not knowing whether this cruise will sail in October. So essentially I paid $450 now ($950 minus the $500 deposit I will get back) and it's paid in full, rather than having to pay $1603 in July to finalize my booking. I was sorta sweating having to pay $1603 in July to keep our booking, not knowing whether it would sail in late October or be cancelled. If it sails, we will be on it. My offer also comes with $100 in free slot play. I noticed on the website I also have six other offers, including a comp interior stateroom in the Mediterranean for this year, and another comp Oceanview stateroom in the Caribbean for Aug-Sep with $150 in free slot play. Cruise Gopher Posted April 18, 2020 #16 Share Posted April 18, 2020 How do you get “enrolled” to receive these free cruise offers? I get that it’s based on casino play but how do they track your play and have your contact info? Also, how much do you have to gamble?

All play is tracked through your sea pass card, which you can insert into the slot machines to get points as you gamble. You also should be signed up for royals rewards (crown and anchor). Check out https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/ and enter your last name and crown and anchor number to check if you have any offers.
radarcruiser Posted April 18, 2020 #20 Share Posted April 18, 2020 I got several offers for insides (with other things like some $$$ in chips, free day at the CocoCay waterpark). Ended up booking one for Harmony in Dec and was able to upgrade my inside to a nice outside balcony for 180pp. You have to pay the tax also. Good deal. I got a free verandah offer from Celebrity also. Used it to book and 11 nighter to Southern Caribbean in October. They put me right into Concierge Class. Not bad for taxes only! Hopefully things will have calmed down by then and we can actually use them. Tonight would have been our last night on an Edge cruise.

I just looked on their website and they have a lot of ships scheduled to cruise; as you noted, May is the first cruise out.
sheffield Posted April 18, 2020 #24 Share Posted April 18, 2020 I find this hard to believe. The whole of the UK is still under a Stay at Home Order with no date given for it stopping. Their deaths from the virus are still high.

I need to have hope that the future will be brighter and if I have to move dates again, I will. She responded with an email explaining the virus, what the effects are, how long it will probably take to have a vaccine available and ended with a dissertation explaining social distancing and the reason for it. Aside from the fact she thinks everyone but her is a moron, it really bugs me that she missed my point. I’d have told her so, but I love my brother.
