I looked but no longer see this perk. Did they take it away?

The 50% off a cruise is what you get once you get to your 50th Milestone cruise. The Diamond perks are a one time Free stateroom upgrade OR free 3rd, 4th, 5th guest! You also get a complimentary Steakhouse dinner which is also a one time perk.

So the free upgrade is from say ov to balcony? Not a fake upgrade like from a 8A to 8B

That is correct. Inside to outside, outside to balcony. Unfortunately, no balcony to suite.:classic_cool:

We are booked for our 50th cruise on the Radience in November (hope, hope, hope).

Our understanding that is we get an OBC worth 50% of our fare. Right or wrong? (Doesn't have any relation to being Diamond.)

Not really half off the cruise. 50% OBC from the price of the cruise.

That's correct. 50% of the base cruise rate of the person redeeming given as obc. :classic_cool:

I understand you get 50% obc on the basic fare, but is this for the total basic fare of the booked cabin?  There will be 2 of us in the cabin.

For the person redeeming only, both of you would have to use your benefit to get the obc of both fares.

That's why I said above good time to book solo cabins.

It’s per person, not per cabin. Of course it could be 50% off the booked cabin if it was the 50th cruise for both of you. Also, as previously mentioned, you don’t have the use the OBC on your 50th cruise. It is best to use it on a longer, more expensive cruises in my opinion, since that will result in a higher OBC.

As part of Carnival’s Guest Recognition Program, Milestone Rewards was developed in appreciation of longtime Carnival guests.  This milestone reward benefit is in addition to the wide range of amenities and privileges that guests already receive as part of the VIFP Club.

Milestone Rewards Program denotes a guest’s 25th, 50th 75th and 100th revenue cruise with Carnival.  Guests will receive a special Milestone Sail & Sign card on their corresponding Milestone cruise.  We want to distinguish guests on their Milestone sailing with a unique card so that we can make his/her Milestone experience extra special and memorable.  After this milestone cruise, they will revert to the card that corresponds to their VIFP level.

It was a story told by my grandfather many years ago. At the beginning of operation they were not sure that they will get a needed attention as they were desperate to spend money on commercials. It was a kind of promotional event which was one of a kind. Not sure its true though. Especially today it cannot be true

What does this have to do with 50th cruise OBC?

Yes, you are correct.

On your 25th cruise you get 25% of the cruise cost in OBC. I have done that. I'm almost to the 50%. 🙂

Also, the same is for when you get to 75th cruise. On your 100th I believe it's a free cruise.
