Prime Sticker

I was thinking they might switch colors on the stickers or something.

They used to have cups you could buy for unlimited soda from soda machines. Someone on a b2b group bought one for her kid thinking she could use it both weeks, who would know. The cup apparently is coded in the bottom and didnt work the 2nd week. The cup knew. After over 50 cruises, they run together, dont even remember who it was or what cruise.

I'm just thinking they have a way of knowing.

All the stickers we've gotten are clear. But I seriously doubt they will peel off very easily.

As far as the soda cups, they generally have a 14 day countdown that begins the first time you use them.

I was thinking maybe you cant still buy the cup going forward.

The fast food places here took out the self serve soda machines.

Btw I'm talking because of the virus. Not before all this virus. They dont .let you refill your own soda here anymore in dallas. We are just glad to be allowed to reopen

You are correct, they may go away.

However, I still see them in use here in Florida.

The only change I've noticed is Circle K won't let you use your own personal cup anymore,  has to be a new disposable one

My experience with tier sticker/markings on our cards (last 10 or so RCI cruises have been pre-printed cards) is that the server takes the card the first time to verify the online status.  From then on, I do not typically need to show the card unless it is a new server.  Then I just show them the prime/signature/master status and they don't need it anymore.

I try to always tip $1 every time I get a drink.  Occasionally, I have to switch to a bottle of water to slow down alcohol intake (or if my wife is with me at the table).  The constant $1 tip seems to make the servers aware of my drinking preferences and seem to appear when my drinks are done or even close to done.  I am convinced that the # of $1 I give is well deserved by the servers and they seem to appreciate them. I also often take a bottle or two of water back to the room when I am done donating.

As to soda cups, we always purchase them while on ships with Freestyle machines.  The machine provides a "good until date" each time you use the cup.  It is typically 7 days after the cruise ends.  Although we still buy them for each leg of a B2B, we use the first weeks cup for both cruises and pack away the second weeks cups in our suitcases.

Per OP original question,  Wife, Son & I each have tier status, so we have not run into the issue, but I would rather pay for drinks or not drink before considering trying to cheat the system.  I am waaaay past the rumrunner days of my youth.

This would be fine for me, and I can take the sticker off my old card and give it to my partner! Then we *both* get free drinks!

Maybe it's just me, but this doesn't sound "hypothetical" to me.

What ever happen to honesty and ethical? And you wonder why the cruise lines play the games they do with pricing.

On a ship  first  day they check your card after that I believe the “casino” knows who you are when you walk in. Eye in the sky sort of thing.  Dealers, wait personnel and bar tenders  greet you,Hello MR Joseph !!

Someone would Know who’s rated and who’s is not Rated.

Not sure of #s but  most people in casino r not rated.

If you can afford to cruise, why can't you afford to pay for your own drinks?  I find your proposal slimy and dishonest. I notice you are also proposing this same nonsense in the RC forum, but hardly anybody responded.

Are you really asking people to give you some kind of support for basic theft?  I hope you get caught and banned for life from the cruise line.

I'm sure this is the reaction the OP was looking for. I think you fell into their trap. 😐
