Captain’s Club Power Up Points

Hello,

Based on my experience ... I suggest you take a screenshot (or multiple screenshots) when you sign up for any power-up points activity, and at the end - or at any time in the process that proves you did the activity.

I was recently asked for proof that I did the activities in order to file a dispute for missing power-up points.

That’s sometimes tough to do if you fall asleep during the webinar.

I could never do the webinars without the wine and I’m afraid it’s the wine that puts me to sleep

Did it with wine and cheese with my Xmas lights on. The hour flew by but dinner was late. Too bad points come first. 😆

Thanks for this good advice.

Well, looks like there is no Power UP for January.  It's a shame.  I was looking forward to a couple of extra points between now and our April sailing, not that it would make any difference.

Since today is February 1 that was a pretty sharp observation 😀

What happened to January opportunity to earn PUPS????????   Celebrity surprise cutbacks, escalating prices and sudden elimination of PUP are a painful way to start the New Year!!!!

There was discussion earlier that there wouldn't be January PUPS but there would be in February.

I didn't say anyone with any knowledge. I just said there was a discussion earlier

From post 6163, FWIW:

Not yet and only a week left, however, and not sure of the authenticity but I heard there are 2 PUP'S offers coming in February. Fingers crossed.

I was told there will be 2 in February.  I'm on the Sky Princess right now. Food is ok so is service, not as good as Celebrity.  I do notice some small things that Princess is lacking in,  not that it would make a difference to many guests but just a few observations.  I am happy to answer questions.

And there are several things that Celebrity is lacking in as well. They both have advantages and disadvantages.

Yes that's true but I still feel Celebrity is a step above.  I took this cruise because the price was too good to pass up and they upgraded me to a balcony so can't complain.

I agree. One advantage is self service laundries which come in very handy on long cruises. One huge disadvantage is that Princess allows indoor smoking. I can’t use the casino and the smoke seeps out.

Princess used to be my preferred cruise line but now I only book Princess if they have a better itinerary than Celebrity. That is often the case for longer sailings and 100% for Alaska itineraries since Princess does Glacier Bay. As for Celebrity being a step above, only in having more pizzazz. Princess is somewhat bland. And smoke filled casinos on Princess. Yuck…
